web design for my band

costly all we need to put a slick simple site together for this band. i would like to showcase some photos and many mp3 tracks. we are embarrassingly new to that web-design stuff. my personal current website is actually: world wide web. jonasandplunkett. com please don’t laugh! i mean to get some photos up and many streaming mp3s. the problem is i don’t really know where to start with the mp3 streaming. i presumably have a flash music player any suggestions without cost / cheap software which is incredibly easy to use for flash music streaming (and it’s possible some graphic / training video ideas) sorry to the vague post, yet i’m desperate! thank you. adrian MY SPOUSE AND I quite liked Jonas in addition to Plunkett actually, it’s cute. Art Gallery questions

Hi. I’m currently trying to build a web-site for an artist I know. I have made a php script that may insert the thumbnails on auto-pilot by reading them out of particular folders, so all that is required is to breakup with more pics within the folders, it succeeds fine. A couple questions: A SINGLE: Each one pic is surrounded by an < a> tag considering the href being something like " large_pics/". $file. ". php" so each picture automatically points towards the php page with the large version of the pic on the item. For example " large_pics/still_life. php" and so on. etc. Now if i wanted to merely make one article " large_pic. php" and insert that relevant pic in it would better IMHO – singular page to compose, more flexibility, and so on. etc. Just how do i pass the info from your thumbnails page into the large_pic page with regards to which pic it really is All I have to send is this variable " $file" by one page for you to another, so you select the thumbnail point out " still_life" and it also opens " large_pic. php" and also inserts the " $file" straight … Continue reading →

Does CSS really work for liquid site design???

When I exposed it on my browser at your house, which is much smaller compared to browser I designed coursesmart on I found it looked a lot worse! Even though I designed coursesmart to be at most 800 pixels broad, the page appeared huge and I’d to scroll to view everything. So I fixed to revamp the site to be flexible or liquid, and reduce the absolute positioning. I thought that this was a rspectable goal until I realized each cell phone has different glitches or shortcomings when it comes to CSS! A fluid design that appears correct in World-wide-web Explorer doesn’t look correct in Firefox, the other that displays appropriately in Firefox would not look right in Internet Explorer. I am either facing that longest period of designers block and also a mild model of retardation. Howdy. I would recognize the value of some advice regarding website design for art exhibit. My sister is often a budding artist who wishes to own a home starting to showcase your ex artwork. How does one attempt designing such something I’m a beginner, myself, and I don’t know where to start. Hi all! I’m new here which is my primary post.. Good anyways.. as chances are you’ll or may not need noticed, I’m FIFTEEN, which makes my family a 10th grade student. There was a strong exhibition of educational facilities at my school and almost all universities I’m interested in would give an advantage for attaching your portfolio (paper or online) along with your college entry submitter. Even though I’ve truly just started graduation, this would good me bigger possiblity to enter the college or university I prefer..: sleeping: The condition, is I have no clue on what a few pointer write. Help with converting PDFs and MSWord files to web pages

Hi, All fellow web site designers, I am getting returning to designing web websites its been a time, I have a customer that has created 27 pages for their website, they desire me to essentially set them upward with hosting corporation, however the data files are PDFs in addition to Microsoft Word. My business is using DW04 (Dreamweaver04) plainly view the files while in the browser the Pdfs show in it’s program window as it would if you went along to a site and wished to see a document and its PDF FILE. The MSword file it may be converted to HTML however it aligns everything either towards the left or proper. Can i get some help asap. I have any hosting company already and thus does the shopper.
