crawler918.com ?

I had been reviewing the site stats for starterst of my clients (as all of us good web makers do) and I happened apon a rather unusual IP which was active during the time on the web-site: 14. 148. 209. 196 A reverse DNS check on network-tools. com revealed that the domain name behind ?t had been crawler918. com, that’s registered by Enroll. com to these: NameProtect, Inc. 918 Deming Way (that 918 is form of ironic, eh) Madison, Wisconsin, USA This question is as follows: whose bot would it be, and why seemed to be it crawling our client’s site for well over 2 hours in a single shot I thought NameProtect can be a private sign up, but nameprotect. com only covers trademark registrations and things of the nature. Ban that: http: //www. advogato. org/article/610. html I’m sure I vaguely recall it being the following but I generally welcome all spiders. Normally, I do too but ours (as the guy within the article said) did actually ignore the software. txt file and also poked around around things it possessed no business poking close to in. I at ease with that, and that may be what made us so … Continue reading

Bandwidth Leeches

What may i suggest to a friend who writes my family: The host provides a strong IIS/Windows 2000 server. They also give CGI, in the examples below languages: PHP4, PERL, SSI, ASP. Regrettably, I know next to nothing about any analysts. The only language I’m pretty good together with is HTML, which usually up until a short while ago, was all WE ever needed. The primary issue is leeches remotely relating to my visuals or sounds once i am the one investing in the bandwidth. Whether the people really visit my site isn’t important, especially since I provide all this for free. The website is averaging EIGHT – 10, 000 visitors via 45 – 50+ countries per month, so I am OK using the head count. I get specific site stats on a regular basis, and this is actually how I get the remote links. There are various different types connected with remote linking, they’re: YOU. They design his or her site, but rather than downloading my files then uploading them recommended to their own server, that they link remotely. Whenever someone visits the site and individuals pages are viewed within a browser, I finance the bandwidth. I get rid … Continue reading

Is my design professional?

I’ve changed the planning of 100pulse. com, make suggestions about my design… does the pattern look professional or perhaps some thing ought to be changed.. The planning is OK, nevertheless the concept is definitely not good. Is there much point of it If a person has an issue using site going lower, that’s something you handle while using webhost. The webhost also offers free stats, and for that reason does Google Analytics. I’d hate to rely on some strange web site with my stats. your design is clean in order to plane. but need a lot more graphic because their too simple plus a bit boring. excellent logo anyway I do believe It’s a nice clean layout, I also like the use of Flash on the particular banner. And also look rather good, But I privately feel the header section is often a little cluttered using the navigation bottom still left, and the hyperlinks top right. We’d try and find a better location for any top links, move them flush while using left or probably place the links down inside footer section. Play around at their side, see what seems to be good. the planning is alright, i dislike the … Continue reading

IE, FireFox, or Chrome

I am trying to find out what most people are using to browse online, there are many mixed info to choose from on which is the most used visitor, for me my partner and i say: 1- FireFox 2- IE SEVERAL – Chrome Shipment get a straight response to this question for ones ultimate purposes. It really depends on the webpage and its userbase. The only place you’ll get answered to that question from is on site stats for each site. Then you possibly can target users accordingly. I think that sooner as opposed to later we must stop assuming that men are using computers to see sites and really think about those pesky phones. If the site is intended for users under 25 loads are probably using a smart phone. If you happen to be talking overall volumes, IE still holds the lead, by using FF and chrome following and third. Strangely, I prefer all of them in almost change order of attractiveness. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, IE. I don’t know that odd at almost all, and find that’s usually the truth. IE is actually unusable to me. I can’t believe more and more people use it. I assume it’s … Continue reading
