Bandwidth Leeches
What may i suggest to a friend who writes my family: The host provides a strong IIS/Windows 2000 server. They also give CGI, in the examples below languages: PHP4, PERL, SSI, ASP. Regrettably, I know next to nothing about any analysts. The only language I’m pretty good together with is HTML, which usually up until a short while ago, was all WE ever needed. The primary issue is leeches remotely relating to my visuals or sounds once i am the one investing in the bandwidth. Whether the people really visit my site isn’t important, especially since I provide all this for free. The website is averaging EIGHT – 10, 000 visitors via 45 – 50+ countries per month, so I am OK using the head count. I get specific site stats on a regular basis, and this is actually how I get the remote links. There are various different types connected with remote linking, they’re: YOU. They design his or her site, but rather than downloading my files then uploading them recommended to their own server, that they link remotely. Whenever someone visits the site and individuals pages are viewed within a browser, I finance the bandwidth. I get rid … Continue reading

Yahoo Webhosting – Page Include Problems
Do you find it just me I just now took over updating a website that is hosted on Yahoo, and for your life of us, I can’t figure out how to make a page include work. This should be pretty simple, right I’m not a guru or a skilled, but I are advanced enough (or hence I thought) to try and do manual HTML coding, or anything else., and I’m a excellent Javascript cut-and-paster. I’ve sent 2 E-mails recommended to their Customer Care – still waiting for a reply. Has anyone had this issue, or can any person tell me easy methods to fix it I think I got it to your workplace once, but all of a sudden, they just don’t work anymore. NOTHING AT ALL.: ichatangr Any help could be GREATLY appreciated.: ichathapp Thanks a lot. Hi webbee, and welcome to the board! Los angeles injury attorney Yahoo Webhosting won’t answer this question is because it falls outside the normal bounds of website hosting tech support. Most hosts would not answer questions in connection with design of a site unless it relates to one of the components of the server not doing work or something of this nature. … Continue reading

Namo WebEditor
I anticipate using Namo WebEditor 5. 5 demo and We are worried about using it for Week and the wording it puts at the bottom telling about the trial version. The question Relating to is can I vary easy adjust or remove the particular text after building a large site, without editing every single page. Also what’s the best was to manage a large web page, I was told SSI would be ideal, but Namo doesent manage to do SSI. Fantastic, Gary Creed glcreedcharter. internet You might want to try Dreamweaver MX as a substitute (http: //www. macromedia. com/dreamweaver/). It’s not only now the market standard WYSIWYG editor/site office manager, but the trial run it offers is just not limited the slightest bit that I recognize of. I love Edit Plus A COUPLE OF ( www. editplus. com ). The idea colors tags and also text and this kind of different colors intended for easier navigation. This is certainly for code men and women though, if your doing full on video or graphic work then this is not for you. They have a 30 morning trial on them, but does possibly not stop working following 30 days. Theres no added … Continue reading

making updates (and life) easier
Hi there everyone, My question pertains to making it less difficult to update this site. The website that I’ve got running is at www. 1000words. net – it shows a different photo and essay to the ‘front’ page each day. It involves me editing the primary page, the gallery page also , the page individual to that submission. I complete these changes manually. Hence, the updating method is quite primative and I want to get a more easier or automated solution to do it. Compared, for instance, there is the Mirror Project on www. mirrorproject. com – the technique used to navigate is akin to what I’m seeking since it shows a picture plus corresponding text for you to each ‘page. Would someone be able to tell me what tools are used Particularly for checking (re: http: //www. mirrorproject. com/mirror/recent/id=17879), it works really simply and it would be nifty to have a very search function. Would anybody be able to get me started on the search Was this great site created using an individual software or code which i am able to have or learn from the web or was this something developed by a programmer I could have done … Continue reading
Web Design Pricing?
Yo, so heres your deal… I work at a sports memorabilia shop, and on the side do a little website development. My coworker features a friend that owns a rims firm and needs a site. This guy can be well off, 20 and already creating 150-200k+ just selling these rims. Thus… what he needs is: 1)A graphically desirable website with web pages for news, phone info, advertising, jobs, etc 2)60+ quite a few pages for rims, I’d probably use the script so i will add/edit/delete tehm easily 3) a function where you possibly can type in make/model/year within your car and find available rims (not sure how ill do this yet, probably many forms/cgi-scripts. So I’ll have some good looking to good graphics, professional however atractive, with SSI, and several cgi-scripts which would spend some time to adjust exactly into the sites needs. What would have been a good price quote for like this I am confident I could do an great job, so quality probably will not an issue. Likewise, I’m not positive if he’d need me to hold anything, but what would have been a good price quotation on maintaining features or other things Thanks guys, -ty charge … Continue reading

with out using frames
is actually ther any solution to target a section like you’ll be able to with frames but and never having to use frames we’ve a header and menu which i want to remain exactly the same on all my personal pages w/o being forced to cut and previous the part directly into every page. remember to help. regards use SSI (Server-Side Includes) SSI really needs to be available on the particular server. rename ones pages to. shtml and set your menu inside a seperate file, save it absolutely was whatever (doesn’t make a difference the extension… quite a few use. inc quite a few. ssi some html) with you. shtml, where you should include you ssi anyone put <! –#include=" /path/to/file. inc" –> You may also implement this type of ‘templating’ system through the application of PHP, and perhaps ASP. MY PARTNER AND I custom-built one by using Perl/mod_rewrite… it got subfunction calling and dynamic evaluation regarding Perl expressions. perl may be a bit over my head today. but i believe i have enough info to get do what i’d prefer to do thanks again Why don’t you just use structures… Really don’t say your anti-frames, because that might make … Continue reading

Dreamweaver SSI feature
I code numerous my sites in PHP… often I take advantage of the SSI that our host allows me to apply… so alot associated with my pages have similar to: PHP: < phpinclude(‘include/menu. php’); > My trouble is, recently all my pages that get this code upon it are including the pages into the dreamweaver work breathing space, even though it isn’t on the node…. what I indicate is, my inluded " food selection. php" is being displayed about the pages AS POST edit them around dreamweaver… Is there how to disable whatever feature has been doing this It really is bugging me… bless you Edit -> tastes -> invisible things uncheck ‘server part includes – display contents of involved file That is in MX 2007.. awesome! thanks a ton.. i was searching for that for like a while… thanks alot! Actually this will show them pertaining to standard includes (. shtml files), but as much as php includes.. dreamweaver shouldnt become showing the contents while in the workspace for php.. or do you mean it is actually just showing in which code ?t had been including just the layout from the included files from the workspace, which was issues … Continue reading
