Hi there, hope everyone’s accomplishing great. I’d love to know if any individual has advice on dealing with another freelancer during a big project. My buddy is really a Flash designer plus I’m an HTML web designer, and he was contracted by way of a company to create a Flash homepage as well as intro animation for your site. But this individual doesn’t know many about backend pattern, especially if the item involves Flash. Here I come in. On the homepage and lots of other pages, you wants to have Flash text, but also would like to update the text and not hire someone to try and do it or study Flash (because they do not have the time). How do you let your artistically-challenged customers make site updates?

Hi all, Formerly suffering with tinnitus a web designer for a variety of years now. WHEN I also fully program code the sites WHEN I design, minus any vast perception of CGI, PHP, and so on. I do make use of standard HTML (or XHTML), Thumb, and full CSS. I’m pretty up to date on CSS, requirements and all, but may be fairly " old fashioned" otherwise: After i complete a web page, almost everything is. html files in an FTP server, which are editable by FTP or GoLive or whatever, saved and/or published. There’s a lot of integrated Flash, CGI screenplays, etc, as essential, but while I do design the particular Flash, all additional stuff (CGI calendars, site searches, form digesting, shopping carts, etc) I recently download and customize. I take lots of pride in the form aspect above all, my clients will be always happy, and I do think my sites look good and varied. So, I am a begining web designer who is wanting to make a web design site now I will be quite experience in most things but others I will be a new, now I am trying to make most of this site inside flash, which I find out about 80% of things nevertheless the thing I’m caught on I need ideas of what area I need to do it in: ermm: lol. i’m an up and coming webdesigner, and i would like to start freelance webdesigning. i should get myself a site opting for myself and im less than shore what to add. Hello, Now i am 45 yrs previous, former Printed press proffesional. Hello, I am considering Web Design and have no idea of where to get started. I’m reading a book at this time that explains the fundamentals (html, xhtml, css, and so forth. ) and it’s helpful however is not enough. No scroll 800 X 600 – even possible?!

Greetings all. Here’s my own problem: I’m making the fresh site for my personal church. The man who is essentially directing me informs me that he wants it to fit into an 800 X 600 res minus the window scrolling. He wants the nav for the screen at all times, and he desires a scrolling box to the content. I’ve been enjoyable the man for a little bit with the notion because he would seem really adamant about this, but now Now i’m thinking that it’s more or less impossible. I think just about any normal user of the site will probably have 768 X 1024 as a minimum, so I wish to throw away EIGHT HUNDRED X 600. Can it be just me, or are his goals with this layout unrealistic Looking at the max dimensions at 800 BACK BUTTON 600, the site must fit into some sort of 770 X 430 px common box! Therefore, any idea what I should do or tell him I must mention that dropping him is just not an option. Starting small webdesign business – Hosting?

Hello, Im going get started on a (very) small web development business by by myself. Just making small sites if you are I know, primarily getting customers through past customers. I was wondering what I must do about hosting that sites. Should I buy my own ring space and put every one of the sites on that, or should I just now help them create a domain and also host and permit them pay the $5 a month themselfs I is likely to have my private space anyway, but what goes on when I look at college and halt making sites Im in senior high school now, just attempting to make a little money working for myself, work my own , personal hours, etc. Ive made just one site so significantly, but the guy I made it for told quite a few friends and Concerning 3 people lined up for webpages. Hosting in my opinion is just yet another potential problem. Its very hard to compete along with existing hosting corporations for price and its not really worth the time you put in it. Designing vs. coding

Question: throughout my college career I’ve said that I wanted to become web designer. In the last not too long the job descriptions are actually narrowed down a bit, but they are usually still not standardized from company that will company. In this meantime, I’ve found yourself in the realization of which I’m not very good at visualizing something creative, and WE hate to value. I like to consider other people’s creations/ideas in addition to put them mutually in HTML or Flash. Would you call which a web builder Exist many jobs around that would call for this type of ‘building’ coding is a huge part of website design (at the qualified level). I think if you want to make a website for any companies, you are likely to make everything side coded, all via scratch. You might be able to get away with some stuff such as using phpbb instead of making forums coming from scatch. Its allow to take ideas from other internet websites, but dont message and paste value. Confused!

Hey guys, I have been looking throughout the site for a little bit now and I realise that the majority of members here are experienced in internet design/ development. I will be not, I am in the beginning stages, I have one problem how to start, I am fortunate enough to get programs such since, Dreamweaver mx, Pen mx, photoshop cs and a number of others, it is merely using them that’s the problem, and chosing what one to use, I have heard that one could create a web page using purely photoshop, but I do not understand how that very works, I happen to be told be many people to use dreamweaver, although not to by other folks because it apparently may be a different html code if you ever wern’t codeing it from scratch. My goal is within several months down the line I want to own created a webpage myself codeing this from scratch.
