Am I being treated poorly by my hired Web Designer?
Given that I don’t have plenty of experience with external web-site designers, I wanted to learn if this can be normal. I’ve settled him half regarding $4, 000 we owe him to design a new site for our organization. We commenced production on this September 20, 2010. We’ve been moving relatively smoothly up until now, where I should hire an external writer to set-up content for 6 pages as each of our in-house writer is busy elsewhere now. He needs to interview this company experts and next write the articles. This will probably take Four weeks in total. My web designer said that by the end of your month he’s final this project but have me, for a fee, a Content Management System making sure that I can afterwards, add the brand new copy. I’ve paid this guy to create this website now I’m faced using adding copy myself This amounts to just a terrible practice and Personally i think I’m being cheated. Is this typical I also don’t see how he’s likely to know what imagery needs to be applied to each page if he doesn’t determine what the message is actually. When I enquired him these queries, he … Continue reading
How to Create a Shopping Cart?
Hi there, everyone. I’m new plenty of to web development to not know how web-site designers go about making shopping carts. I’ve researched this kind of and found some strategies to building them, such as creating them from 100 % pure code using PHP/MySQL or using a ecommerce CMS. I wanted to give it a shot myself so I attempted to work with PHP/Mysql and thought many other designers should be utilizing a quicker method to build shopping carts. Now I’m considering using a CMS nonetheless from what I have seen, they look tough to customize on the ‘shop’ section on the site; what with the need to scan pages of code to be able to alter it for your own design as well as content. Unless I’m using them drastically wrong. Just how do most designers create shopping carts to their sites Depends on the client plus the cart and any with the customizations. Under absolutely circumstances will i use an off-the-shelf CMS to construct an e-commerce site. The lack of security linked to open source is enough by itself to generate me want to perform from that just like the plague. WE usually use ASP as well as … Continue reading

Choosing between web designers…help please!
Hola, And so… I have a choice to make between site designers. One’s site mentions the application of CMS, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, and WordPress. The additional just uses Squidoo. Everything else being equal I feel like the very first designer provides larger flexibility in what can be achieved. Thoughts and thoughts on WordPress along with it’s uses versus what additional designer mentions Don’t get worried… I’ll still end up being around after this particular post as I will start tooling around in a very hobby-oriented manner. Properly, both of them mention WordPress, so I might go with the actual guy that understands more. CSS is essential, and probably all web-site designers know it nevertheless. Javascript/jQuery are handy languages to recognize I wouldn’t always say either with out knowing who both designers are. WordPress is any CMS and to be able to set up your template within Live journal, CSS is essential… so the second guy can have the former protected and presumably the latter. Javascript and jQuery tend to be nice touches to get a website, but not really useful for each website. What I’m likely to suggest is for you to post both in the designers’ portfolio buttons here … Continue reading

I’m a part of a new concept in website design and development of which involves crowd sourcing. I’m considering opinions on crowd sourced web development and interest via freelance designers. We are several months away by launch and seeking feedback on making the site desirable for designers. The opinions are appreciated. what can be a " crowd sourcing" What wikipedia says: http: //en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Crowdsourcing MY SPOUSE AND I haven’t participated within crowdsourcing, but I suppose that it’s a fun concept. From the web perspective, Crowd Sourcing basically involved an internet site . that offers a service (web design, logo design, PPC, etc. : even loans/Lending Tree), but leverages the community to provide all or component of the service. From the loan example, Lending Tree is the site, but personal banks provide the particular loans. From a new design perspective, Brand Tournament and 99 Layouts are examples, where by designers compete through submitting designs internet.
