Time Gone By simply was just going as a section on my personal site but right after having posted the previously referred to I thought it becomes better to present each section unique theme instead of one theme for your entire site. So this is the rough draft with the first section

‘Tis wonderful. I’d like to view the title " Time Gone By" inside the top banner / video though. Also, the navigation seems a lttle bit out of place – the chief text is perfect though.

I work toward putting " Time Gone By" inside the top banner, I just never have decided how I want to do that yet.
I’m not wild around the background image. That tiles, although inside a subtle manor. The actual banner image can be cool, but the mansion looks to a great extent photoshopped. For coloration scheme help, look at the link throughout my profile.
That s good, but I agree with splufdaddy about your background image. The banner could do when using the site title inside, using some kind of special effects.

I assume you will be refering to your yellow background. I was getting an older feel opting for the site but a long way I don’t believe anybody has enjoyed it. So I’m sure its going to become changed.

Added as well as title to your header. Also made the particular background behind the layout darker in making the page itself jump out more. Still doing the menu.
This kind of background is more painful IMO. It’s too stressful and it’s the vital thing I focus in, instead of your actual site. Any background photograph you use might tile, and tiling track record images look very 1995-ish. You’re better off going with a solid colouring or a gradient.
There got gone the background tile. It truly is now just a new light blue colouring.

I do not think it’s the dimensions, as I could read Arial/verdana/sans-serif in that size. I am just no font expert, but try arial/verdana and get again.
