Heya guys!
I’ve a serious query to ask. I’m currently working in our company’s website using Dreamweaver SEVEN. We are a proper estate corporation so we focus on heavy data tempted pages. As far as I visit, I don’t know much server-side computer code, so we have another that lives halfway around the world taking care on this. While I ‘m using Dreamweaver, he could be using Visual Studio to develop pages. The difficulty lies in TWO things though.
1) When he or she publishes his job it overwrites exactly what I do. But it really gets worse. VS DELETES EVERYTHING inside target directory before it publishes, then copys everything. This sucks because many of the pages aren’t and do not need to be aspx websites (i. e. static content material pages), and VERSUS deletes them.
2) I must reassemble the programmers code very often. Now this won’t bother me an excessive amount because I realize that he’s a programmer without a designer. I’ve enough knowledge to transfer any of her ASPX code where I would like it and find out when to increase something. Right now what he’s doing is consuming the pages We’ve written and copying/pasting the particular code into his project. But VERSUS is rewriting your code.
I need a solution that’s going to work for both folks. Should I go on to VS due to amount of ASPX pages that individuals have going on here Any ideas would be more than beneficial.
ASPX (ASP. NET) is one of the languages built directly into Visual Studio. online 2003 and Visible Studio 2005, so I would recommend that.
Do you find it an easy migration
It would be difficult for me to make sure without having far more insider knowledge about your circumstances (i. e., having worked there). One thing I can say without a doubt is that getting faraway from Dreamweaver for site management is bliss.
