Well I’d like to create a site to showcase stuff that we have designed pertaining to in school and just side projects which i have done. Now I am aware what the content might be but I was having trouble settling using a theme or array for my internet site. I want some thing different and creative but at the same time I want it to take a look professional. I guess We are just looking for inspiration. Any concepts
What form of stuff did people design (be specific)
Well thus far the things that we have had by far the most fun designing are logos, posters, publication spreads, ads mostly things such as that.
How you design your site is a very personal thing. We’d design mine really differently from yours We would imagine. One thing you can use is look surrounding the web for creativity. Stock xchng is a great site to take a look at for photography, and Template Monster has a great deal of different design styles.

That Template Monster site is admittedly cool! I don’t truly understand templates actually – how much would you change on a template while you buy it WE assume menu brands etc are changeable, but can certain graphics be changed etc

well if ur planning on just showcasing ur stuff being a portfolio i would allow it to become ur own not really themed but simply something that stands out above the rest cuz ur basically advertising ur individual skillz

Should you be looking to set up something different, a template may be the wrong strategy to use. Buying a template guarantees you that a site will look just like everyone else’s who bought that template.
Make the positioning personal to you, maybe a little quirky, so it stands out from the field. After designing that target your keywords to the audience that you will be after, for example your State or County – which means you rank highly on search engines like yahoo for people in search of that kind of work close to you.
