Greetings all,
We are building a reports website. My question may appear basic but a lot more I think of it a lot more I get confusedI guess usually when you use the web an individual dont become aware but whenever you try to do it yourself, then you start wondering…
1-What include the general rules of linking usually to another site Get real I know linking is a backbone of online, but when POST start building a website myself, now I place to think of it. When I connect to somewhere that I think my readers might be interested, should I consult permission to link from each of the sites I am linking too Are usually common practice and is there anything I should have asked on this
2-What about reviewing some solutions, news, anything regarding another company. Or simply mentioning their product name or to showing a picture or video in their product for researching. Should I get permission per, what are this rules, what can be common practice
3-I sometimes see good news from another internet site, newspaper, online magazine etcIs that okay easily display the title of these news on my site and would be first 2-3 phrases and say examine more and direct a computer owner to that site Is this an acceptable train
3a-Or must i make a summary of the news myself so I maintain your user on this site
Thank you
1) If it might be a permanent link then you should contact the actual website creator/contact and ask a) when you can link to all of them (and they may provide an image) along with b) can that they link you back
However if the actual link is say an integral part of a blog/cms entry (something that may be not permanent) then provided linking to it really is okay to carry out withput prior agree.
2) Acquire their permission.
3) The title is fine but should you quote a paragraph(s) next either re-word the idea or state the text is taken from such-and-such posting.
I argue with Andrew, because
1) Its not necessary permission to connect to a page that is definitely in the arrest domain. It is your legal right to connect to it, and it doesn’t violate any laws, and
2) Linking for you to another website is doing them a favour… you’re increasing the popularity ranking and driving traffic to help them.
Asking permission is a waste of your time and theirs. Just simply link away!
Here’s an example of a links page I made: http: //www. uselise. com/lotus-cars-resources-links
I suggested wondering them mainly regarding my poin 1b) – so you get a link out of it too.
I believe Steven and Andrew both, for just a typical link, link till your heart’s content material. For a connect to an article, where you need to publish part of the article on yuor web blog, you should ask if that may be ok (I say this within the wake of the particular recent AP debacle).
