Greetings all. Here’s my own problem:
I’m making the fresh site for my personal church. The man who is essentially directing me informs me that he wants it to fit into an 800 X 600 res minus the window scrolling. He wants the nav for the screen at all times, and he desires a scrolling box to the content.
I’ve been enjoyable the man for a little bit with the notion because he would seem really adamant about this, but now Now i’m thinking that it’s more or less impossible. I think just about any normal user of the site will probably have 768 X 1024 as a minimum, so I wish to throw away EIGHT HUNDRED X 600. Can it be just me, or are his goals with this layout unrealistic Looking at the max dimensions at 800 BACK BUTTON 600, the site must fit into some sort of 770 X 430 px common box!
Therefore, any idea what I should do or tell him I must mention that dropping him is just not an option.
Effectively, there are stats somewhere nevertheless 1024×768 is now a more common resolution in comparison with 800×600. I think a vey important thing would always be getting him for you to compromise on keeping the nav regularly and allowing the particular page to scroll. You will be able to make a layout using the nav in a bar on top and then scrolling content the location where the entire page scrolls. That will minimize the sizing problem. 800×600 continues to be narrow as terrible, though, and I absolutely don’t envy the issue…
I don’t believe the 800 pixel wide can be a problem,
nevertheless the navigation in area is…
Have him evaluate the church web page I helped with…
The navigation is tabbed, so it’s super easy.
…. and it fits in SIX HUNDRED pixel browsers.
You may can convince him which the tab
navigation is easy and there’s zero reason to
keep the navigation fixed for the screen.

Like a web designer, I do believe we owe our clients two stuff:
– Giving them what they want,
: Educating them with web practices and also standards.
Sometimes a purchaser will understand if you explain something plus take your tips, other times, you may have to suck this up and give them away what they would like. And you’re not essential to put it against your portfolio.
DCScene, this is a great point. I do believe I’ll just yes him what he wants. I started a brand new design and it is actually going better than expected, but it’s still not even close what I’d typically do.
