Using dreamweaver inside code view will give you soo many far more features than any text editor I have used. Espeically notepad.. systanx highlighing is cool, but any decent text editor is able to do that(notepad cant). Code hints can also be very cool, but alot of editors can do that too (again not for notpad). Ability to update any document in a very well organized software… most great editors do this also ( notepad, need i even express it). But what Dreamweaver does that almost no if any can perform is true file managment on the local drive, your test server along with your production server simotaniously. There are tools that are designed into dreamweaver we simply havent gotten to find somewhere else. Granted this is within code view merely. Dreamweavers WYSIWYG featuers will be virtually worthless.

Basicly all WYSIWYG editors We’ve used end up spending unecissary code as well as tags, that create your pages bigger, mess up this hierarchy, and confuse google.
