Using Adobe acquiring Macromedia there doesn’t are many choices for WYSIWYG editors sometime soon. Whatever Adobe decides to do with GoLive or Dreamweaver will be anybody’s guest, and also the last thing us web developers needs is to acquire Adobe monopolizing the market. Is there everyone who thinks in which Adobe has any competition in the foreseeable future.
I see very little major competition ever really creating a dent in Adobe. Lure in members small time html code editors around nevertheless I doubt anything around the scale of Dreamweaver or GoLive. I don’t believe they are monopolizing the market however.
Just because there is no one who you’d consider to possibly be competition to Adobe will not mean there aren’t any good products all over for html modifying. There are some really cool apps around, just not made by companies that would certainly worry Adobe.
How ’bout Apple company they make wonderful applications like Final Cut Pro and also Shake with equipment like these the idea wouldn’t strike us as strange should they decide to enter the web arena. You see the main reason I’m saying the reason is , I don’t Adobe to become lulled into your false sense with security thinking with Macromedia straightened out everything will possibly be smooth sailing. Competition keeps you on your toes especially any time your providing tools to some wide user trust.
I think it might be very interesting to view Apple just around the band wagon although personally can’t discover it happening whenever soon.
I believe that Adobe will keep improve the goods. I really don’t believe they are the type of company that will get into the comfort zone and choose to ease off.
You’re right, guess we’ll please have to wait in addition to see.
Checked out your site and it looks great, didn’t recognize that you’re a Macintosh user. Does Dreamweaver run great over a Mac as and also on Windows. I’m also your newbie in web page design, can you recommend any books in which focus heavily on web development workflow.
Thanks on your comments on my personal site, I thanks
Modern version of Dreamweaver (8) seems to run much better around the Mac then former versions. Much quicker and behaves themselves better. I find myself more often then not using skEdit, which may be a small html editor but is a really nice to work with.
In the western world books, well you will discover loads. I would perhaps check into something like Serta Cederholm’s Web Requirements Solutions. That’s a superb book with several nice tips plus techniques in presently there. It all is determined by your user stage really Some books are created for more advanced users whereas some tend to be more of an initial book that start right at the beginning with the complete basics.
At this time I’m pretty much a beginner, but up to now I have a basic perception of HTML, XHTML in addition to CSS. Right now Now i am currently studying image design in this homeland and I would like to use this design skills to the web using CSS for my sites and an amount of Flash as nicely for multimedia perform. Sadly where I live online isn’t big internet business, but in future I would like to chance almost all that.
Apparently on Macintosh there is a great deal of other good types. But on windows we have a choice between Dreamweaver or *shudder* Frontpage.
Erm, why find out a thread that’s 2 years older.
