Hello there, I’m kind of new to all this…. but I was wondering if you have any kind of program that will check my program code for errors What about a program that would accually point out where the glitches or misstakes will be made
Very thankful for many any reply on this subject
Dreamweaver versions MX and higher check out syntax errors in your tags. They appear you color when correct and appear like content while incorrect (check the actual preferences).
Likewise, the validator with www. w3. org claims what’s wrong on a line-by-line basis. Nevertheless, I would accomplish the Dreamweaver issue first.
Thanks, I appreciate your current response, I will take a look at Draemweaver
And then additionally , there is HTML Tidy which will do many that, as very well.
Thanks for al the facts and great resolution, I will check em all out and about
I’m endeavoring to run my signal trough w3. org… along with it’s telling us " No Doctype found"
How can i know what Doctype We’ve
The Doctype Fact, or DTD, may be a string at the very beginning of your current file that seems as if this:
<! DOCTYPE web coding PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML JUST ONE. 1//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11. dtd" >
There usually are several different Doctypes. What one you use will depend on which version involving HTML you’re coding using. HTML 4. 01 transitional is often the safest bet, although XHTML A SINGLE. 0 Transitional is probably the best selection.
<! -- WEB CODING 4. 01 --> <! DOCTYPE WEB CODING PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD WEB CODING 4. 01 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/html4/loose. dtd" > <! -- XHTML JUST ONE. 0 Transitional --> <! DOCTYPE web coding PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML JUST ONE. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" >
Thanks, but how will i know what Now i am writing in… I am talking about, I’m just creating my pages the best way I have learned, I have not any idea what Doctype to specify inside document
Up-date… I tried contributing the html FOUR. 01 to my own document, and after running it inside the code checker I wound up with only just one error, instead involving 217 lol, next time i tried the xhtml YOU. 0….. so I guess I’m sure what I am writing in at this point…. I sure do appreciate the exact help. Thanks
For instance I said, 5. 01 is your safest bet. XHTML features some slight differences, but it may be the standard of the long run, so it’s recommended to code XHTML.
Thanks man, you’ve been associated with great help plus I appreciate you finding the time explaining it in my opinion, It makes far more sense to my home now
Not a problem. If you have every other issues, go ahead and get. And if you want a more detailed rundown belonging to the differences between XHTML and HTML 4, you possibly can probably post a new thread and get some good very good data, possibly from us (depending on what sort of time I have).
