I’m working with a problem with an internet site . I’m updating. I open the particular website in Dreamweaver but when i change a web template, not all of the pages attached to the template get modified.: ermm:
I usually use Go Live but when i try to do identical thing in Move Live, some from the pages are updated and some aren’t, and sometimes many of them come up using errors.
I forgot to mention that some of the fields I wish to change are blank while in the design view and also in preview are generally fine.
Notice attached document.
Is niagra normal I’ve certainly not used templates inside Dreamweaver before so I’m uncertain.
What version of Dreamweaver have you been using Did you create the template on your own machine Or did you put the files on your computer after the template (and pages) was created
Dreamweaver MX, POST didn’t create these people, I’m just updating the website as well as copied it coming from a cd to our computer.
Well the condition is, The template file won’t tell dreamweaver which files it requires to update. Do that..
In the assets panel for your project, select the particular template file, correct click and test ‘refresh site list’, ‘recreate website list’, and ‘update site’ and check if any of those do just as well
It seems to own worked for some of the pages, not they all. I just approved another file as well as I tried for you to edit the copyright generally there too but WHEN I can’t. I aim to click in the idea but nothing occurs
Are you trying to edit things from the files that are past the editable zones If everything is actually working right, things which might be outside the regions must be grayed out from the files.
What number of pages are in such a project If it is small, If you enjoy you can send it to my opinion and i’Sincee what the issue might be. Around you.
It’s a good big project however. I’ll try them again later when I’m at home and let you know what happened.
Still isn’t updating the many files, can’t fully grasp why
When i get a chance I may experiment with several things. I will let you know if I produce something.
Good, thanks
So just to recap, you change the template and it updates some of the files but not them all right I know you said it was before a fairly major project (and also big to send), but would them be possible for me to see the particular template file, and then several the html files the methods that do not appear to be updating
Yeah that could be great, think about if I send them to your account tommorow, because I didn’t got the website on this computer where My business is right now.
Noises good.. I provided you a communication with my mail.
Same problem, but just one single page to demonstrate. I got this from someone else.. never dealt w/ templates before. This file is known for a wrong link: the final link should always be " calendar. asp", not " index. asp" (I procured out irrelevent code). Unfortunately, I can’t change it. I took a glance at the template document /Templates/main. dwt, which is what I guess it’s looking at, but that document does have appointments. asp for the link. Seems just like somebody edited your template file accurately, but it’s not really getting passed to the file. Any thinkings Thanks,
J
