Enquiry/ New web designer

We have an enquiry please,
1- actually I am asking about Dreamweaver in the view as a professional web designer do you think it is a robust along with a powerful tool to build up web pages
And is it easy to cope with PHP and MYSQL smoking Dreamweaver as My organization is looking for a hassle-free tool that would not need a deep information about programming but simultaneously very robust and trusted to construct up web pages so I used to be thinking of Dreamweaver that way a tool, I don’t know whether I am right or not and I am badly in requirement that within my MSc dissertation

2- I was wondering should you have any idea how can we really build up web tutorials including the ones in W3C blog I mean will Macromedia flash or Dreamweaver might be trusted to be used in this and if not it is possible to suitable tool then I really hope you can guide me for just a suitable reference which usually guides t develop toturials..

appreciate your time and effort and kindness

Dreamweaver is actually fine for each things, as long as you don’t use the form View! Use that Code View (or Separate View, as long as you only edit the actual code, and don’t touch the structure portion).

Many thanks Chris,
But I used to be hopeing that I’ll use Dreamweaver completely without using PHP or MYSQL at all.
But do an individual mean that I have to learn PHP as well as MYSQL( as I am a little bit scared) besides learning Dreamweaver to build up a web site
Is there virtually any robust tool which they can display for building sturdy websites without lisenced users effort
I truly appreciate your aid

Dreamweaver will a crap career at creating CODE, I can’t imagine what it could do to PHP. Read some tutorials over the internet, borrow a book in the library, learn PHP by yourself, don’t rely on tools to perform it for everyone. If you strive to be competitive, you will need and therefore do it by yourself anyway!

THanks Chris on your advice indeed

I’d like to be your jerk who immediately points out which no tool will ever provide a " robust" and secure solution at the hands of an inexperienced creator! Don’t take the fact that wrong way, but do realize you need to be extremely careful as there are lots of common errors manufactured here… ensure you know how to properly escape many data heading to/from the actual DB, mail(), in addition to users, for case in point.

Oh, in addition to AFAIK Dreamweaver won’t write any PHP/MySQL for a person. That is always done by just a developer (i. e. programmer). All it really does to the is highlight that, and there a variety of free alternatives to the, such as PSPad, my favorite on Windows, or Coda and/or TextMate about Mac (however all those aren’t free).

I prefer Komodo!

I’ve been using Dreamweaver frequent and would say definetly its the very best tool out on the market.

As get I,

nonetheless, I wholeheartedly disagree!

I believe that " vi" about Linux and " notepad" on Windows are QUITE sufficient to create an excellent web site.

Dreamweaver is a very false crutch, in that that makes folks feel that they are seeing when that they design what their visitors will see, yet in actuality that’s seldom the truth. Dreamweaver doesn’t aid cross-browser coding, alternatively hinders it.

WYSIWYG is not something that may be applied to webpage design, as almost all designers worth their particular salt know.

Sean

Yes Sean I’ll see from yuor web blog.

" WYSIWYG is not something that may be applied to webpage design, as almost all designers worth their particular salt know. "… sarcism better half!

Simmer along now… let’s just follow helping fa00026.

Absolutely no problems here, I am over it, I just dont appreciate those who insult me.
WYSIWYG editors have a very masive part in webdesign most likely not web development, as I said We have used Dreamweaver frequent, the earlier versions were very unpredictable, and yes possibly Dreamweaver CS3 provides its problems but in the event you learn to utilize it well you can process the bugs. POST personally think it’s great for coding CSS however thats because I prefer to keep anything within one stand. Hand coding fantastic skill and MY SPOUSE AND I learned and started off with hand coding, but Only were to give code and design the graphics with the work load I endure a month it would take me for good. Everyone has any opinion, all POST say is comprehend different strokes regarding different folks.

POST didn’t mean to insult you privately, just giving a good opinion, but can know the way you’d be offended so I apologize for that… I used to be meaning to say something similar to " as almost all designers know through bitter experience" nonetheless it didn’t come out like this… certainly wasn’t targeted at you, promise.

I handcode almost everything I write because doing this I know what’s being created and I’ll also try to cope with the various visitor issues as POST go along… tend to have IE, Firefox, Safari in addition to Opera open about another laptop plus just do " Refresh" on there to check out the effect involving my changes… this works for me, I just get Dreamweaver and their ilk distracting precisely as it gives a false prospect of how things will certainly look.

There’s one that I’m dealing with who uses Dreamweaver and she wastes So much time moving stuff around and then thinks she’s set whatever only to find that when it is really " previewed" in the real browser it looks nothing beats Adobe’s " baby from hell" continues to be saying it must.

Up coming challenge, of training, is going to become the iPhone… if other Apple company company gadgets are anything to go by there’ll be a rational few folks using it pretty soon and that’ll introduce a whole new set associated with complications…
