Gaming Website

Hi, im making a gaming website and My business is viewing alot of these to get a notion of what for making, and im seeing that the web designers are using tables to format everything. Should I do Identical thing

No you should employ divs instead

It really varies according to what gaming sites you are seeing. Yes, there are tons of tables on the market, but those are often outdated designs.
Divs are the way to go, but it also varies according to your skill degree and what you’re feeling comfortable with……… i believe, I don’t work with tables……. but you will need to go with what you’re feeling most comfortable together with.

Enjoy……

I would reckon that tables would be easier for me because im rather than familiar with divs. Tables i’ve been using for an extended time.

Ok, I don’t necessarily mean to stress listen to but I wish people would tell use semantic html as opposed to divs. It gives many new people in order to CSS the impression that you choose and throw divs everywhere regardless of what the element.

\rant, Sorry becoming a purist

I’d personally disagree here. Tables are older so wether or not you’re feeling comfortable with these, it’s time to quit using them.

If you can not understand the by using semantic coding (xhtml and css) then go away completely and learn a few. You don’t neeed to recognise it inside-out to begin. a lot of it you can pick up as you go along.

Conference tables are for " tabular" files, like a matrix of values you could read from
a database and display on a page. For this purpose, tables are generally exactly
what you need to use.

Today, there are CSS people who disagree. Calendars are an example where
using tables makes the career easier, but the following is a neat diary that uses no tables:
http: //www. cssplay. corp. uk/menu/calendar2. html

If i were you, I’d personally use both CSS and tables in the beginning… but work about it from
time to time, eliminating tables steadily until it’s all CSS. It will administer a little time
for getting it 100% CSS.

Make an effort to do the system using tables and then set the doctype for you to HTML 4. 01 stringent. You will probably ensure FireFox / Mozilla (25% in the internauts use it) has rendering difficulties with one-image-in-one-cell. If you imagine standards are important and you also still want to work with tables, you migh wish to use divs, utilize hack for this matter. Usually I match the second answer

Well, using tables could significantly increased the size and style of your webpage (amount of HTML) and might slow down when your internet site is loaded.
I would recommend using CSS, not simply because it is way better but also a new must-have skills to get todays web developement.
