Howdy guys,
A couple of things….
ONE PARTICULAR. Just been focusing on this – http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad/ – and on on the list of school computers it’s apparently listed all askew with IE6. The photostrip to the right is overlapping the actual blue footer and also obscuring the contact details inside the footer.
Laptop has it’s display screen resolution set in order to 1280 x 1024 px.
I’ve tried replicating the item on other computers with the same screen res but can’t have it to happen. Although We have got IE7 fitted everywhere.
… in addition to…
A COUPLE OF. When the internet site is viewed throughout different screen file sizes, different browsers or perhaps without certain toolbars, for example, there is your white ‘gap’ at the end due to the background I’m utilizing… My question here is would there be any route to make everything under the footer display because same light random world background colour
I suppose I could just use a typical background colour as opposed to the background image but I’m keen on the shadow result it allows me to set-up.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thankyou so much in advance!!: exhausted:
I identified several issues… way too many to mention the following, so I place your
files into an experiment page and you will observe them here:
http: //www. catpin. com/thomastown/
View the HTML to check out how the sidebar can be now
component to the " content" in addition to " main" right now is floated left
which has a specified width.
#sidebar-logos had an absolute position defined.
Which is what caused the matter with the image
covering the footer.
absolute and relative positioning is definitely a problem
by using browser compatibilities… avoid them if possible.
And here is the CSS record:

Duplicate the changes We’ve made, but spend less a backup copy
of your own pages just in case I messed-up everything else.
I can’t thank you enough for a person’s reply mlseim!!! You’re awesome!
Okay so MY PARTNER AND I went through and tried to replicate what you’ve got done (I’ve discovered a lot along the route! ) and I thought Pondered it all together next time i decided to preview the exact result and unfortunately this didn’t look quite! – http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad1/
Hopefully I’ve just made a super easy mistake but I have been staring at the code for that last hour along with haven’t managed to work it out! Any chance one could have another look to get me
I believe I’m finally buying a grasp on css positioning due to you… I really appreciate the exact help!
Thanks so much!
Neil
Your own problem is these:
#content
drift: left;
size: 700px;
/* min-height: 362px; */
You have a width of 500px outlined… which is far too narrow.
Thankyou! I could’ve sworn I might already changed this part but even groing through it a few times I didn’t notice it had been still 500px! Which is that problem classified!!
So if anybody has any ideas about how precisely I could possibly use a " bottom" to shed that white room under the footer (in particular resolutions), I’d adore to hear from these individuals!
Others have told me to make absolutely certain there’s enough written content to push the actual footer down recent the " fold" nonetheless with people implementing screen resolutions like 1280 x 1024px, it starts to buy a bit silly.
I’m very prepared to take ideas!
Many thanks heaps!
Neil (!!! )
POST don’t see almost any whitespace under the actual footer with IE or FF.
Is it possible make a little screenshot and put it
Yep sure no problems… My screen res wont go any larger so I’ve taken out the tabs, menu bar and status bar in IE7 to create the same situation. This is what precisely it looks for instance in 1280 by 1024px (except the particular whitespace under the footer is a lot bigger of course).
Many thanks again!
Neil
None of one’s links above, within previous posts, could be seen as the
hottest version. You need to be doing it most of offline
Will your CSS " html page, body" tag appear to be this
html page, body
border: 0px auto;
background: url(images/bg-body. png) repeat-y top rated center #B9D8EA;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
colour: #222222;
height: 100%;
If not, try that and see what the results are.
Then, post your most up-to-date example so you can see it.
Definitely mlseim!
Sorry that… I thought Pondered updated that last link. I’ve uploaded modern here – http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad2
I tried exactly what you suggested and also the results aren’t any kind of different. I’ve commented out one’s body tag I acquired before (I couldn’t have html with all). You can easily see it here — http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad2/default. css
Many thanks!
Neil
Will it only materialize with IE7
I can’t seem to make the room appear.
I wonder should you have some sort regarding browser option arranged.
Even while you remove the level bar, menus, for example. (Obviously it’s not only a concern if that happens only after that but that’s the only real way I can replicate it about my PC – it can the same factor with larger display screen resolutions)…
Laptop the problem 1st happened on got IE6 installed so it isn’t really just IE7. I’ve also affixed screen shots in the same thing with Opera9. 51, Safari SEVERAL. 12 and Firefox THREE OR MORE. 0. 1…
Many thanks!
Neil
I believe I figured that out!
This specific has changed:
html page, body
border: 0px auto;
background: url(images/bg-body. png) repeat-y top rated center #B9D8EA;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
colour: #222222;
height: 100%;
size: 700px;
text-align: facility;
And you will find there’s change in the actual " index" page:
See the change at the bottom where the footer is
now beyond the wrapper div… (view that HTML source).

Perhaps just copy the actual HTML and
