Need Help first website… but not too noob =/

Hey guys/gals that is my first time posting and my very first time that actually making my own website. I am excellent in photoshop and still have tried messing by using websites before however the most i’ve obtained was sites performed in frontpage as well as dreamweaver. I have an idead now that I can’t seem to do in either of these programs… So hopefully someone might help me out along with what i want to do… I will explain and also have provided a vision…

I dont know firstly how i should format the site. If I must use Frames for instance i listed or a simple faster loading method, you guys may know The center the location where the text will be I would really like to be " the key viewing area" so for instance only have a link at the end for " our journal" when you click it, it can open up in the center. I also want an entire layout to be opened in the seperate browser which is not resizeable / non scrollable (pop-up). so whenever you type in that URL (www. digital8ball. net) it can automatically open any intro page after that OPEN a seperate MAIN PAGE. my only problem/question I’m wondering is if someone is known for a pop-up blocker course will it believe it’s an ad and not give it time to open

My other question as much as the image should go of myself remover away… How would post format the image so in the event i do use frames does someone seperate the graphic by colors

Sorry basically am unclear I’m horrible when conveying things, I’m more a visual particular person.

Hey,
You should utilize frames for your site. The way that you have it established, where you labeled where you would like your different casings, sounds okay… We would suggest using an iframe in your content though, rather then three seperate glasses, but that’s really just a personal preference connected with mine. I don’t like making a entire frame-based site.
About your webblog opening up within a new window (non-scrollable, etc) – you will need to still have your main page for once the user types your address in to the address bar, but have any javascript function this pops that window up facing it – possibly automatically or once the user presses some kind of enter button. but so you understand – that could be an annoyance into a, but if you want to do that, go ahead… And your question regarding the pop-up software, sure, some people’s software WILL believe it is an ad. Consequently, that is why need to make sure choose to exercise, make sure there is a button to open it to the main page, in the event a pop-up blocker will block it through opening, then the person can re-open it.
However, if the reason you want that will window to open is because your site may be a fixed size, just to inform you, there is a further option – to center your website on the web page. I do that with just about every site WHEN I make, for case in point, www. with-this-ring. com is a good example because this can be a pretty small website, but I have it centered in the actual page.
Concerning your image remover away, I don’t really understand your own question, but when you are talking about how top of your head extends outrageous portion of coursesmart, you can just simply slice your image so that you have it with two pieces, the top and bottom, after which it put one piece as part of your header and one in the body section.
Very well, hope I addressed your Qs.. Let me know if I will help uou in any different ways.

Heather, We’ve a dial-up modem… I finally threw in the towel waiting for ones flash site
that will load. I hope visitors don’t do what Used to do and just in close proximity their browser.: amazed:

… or even there aren’t several dial-up users just like me left any more.

oh, sorry with that… well, anyways, you can get a lot of sites like this where they center it from the screen, it was simply a suggestion.

Centering things is certainly very easy which has a little CSS. Then you can get rid of virtually any ugly, non-compliant " height=" 100%" with a table. Here’s a preview:

Code:
<! DOCTYPE code PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" >
< code xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" >
< head>
< title> Centre Test< /title>
< meta http-equiv=" Content-Type" content=" text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
< form type=" text/css" >
. centre
width: 200px;
margin: 30% auto 0px car;
border: 2px reliable black;
background-color: #E6E6E6;
text-align: centre; /* Used only to center the text inside the box, not really the box */

< /style>
< /head>
< body>
< div class=" center" > Look ma, I'm in the middle! < /div>
< /body>
< /html>

Nothing special. Quick, dirty and hella efficient.

About the design though, privately, from the looks on the " comp", I’d say that’s a job for Flash. However, doing it in xhtml would be rocket development, either and it wouldn’t involve any frames.

After getting the basic structure build, you can use CSS’s " overflow" property to handle the text in addition to give yourself in which little scroll windows you’re after. Yet again, no frames or maybe javascript required.

Code:
<! DOCTYPE code PUBLIC " -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1. 0 Transitional//EN" " http: //www. w3. org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional. dtd" >
< code xmlns=" http: //www. w3. org/1999/xhtml" >
< head>
< title> Centre Test< /title>
< meta http-equiv=" Content-Type" content=" text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
< form type=" text/css" >
. centre
width: 200px;
length: 50px;
overflow: automotive;
margin: 30% automotive 0px auto;
border: 2px solid african american;
background-color: #E6E6E6;
text-align: centre; /* Used only to center the text inside the box, not really the box */

< /style>
< /head>
< body>
< div class=" center" > Lorem ipsum dolor remain amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Vivamus neque. Donec tincidunt ante vitae dui. Nullam tortor search engine optimization, < /div>
< /body>
< /html>
