Sitemap for images

I need to add images to a sitemap I’ve previously written.
I couldn’t find a lot of information about sitemaps yet I figured I might post what I think would be a proven way to add 2 images into a sitemap. Granted, I’m only checklist two images for starters web page but is that this correct

< url>
< loc> http: //www. 1728. org/guitar. htm< /loc>
< lastmod> 2012-03-01< /lastmod>
< changefreq> daily< /changefreq>
< priority> 0. 5< /priority>
< photograph: image>
< photograph: loc> http: //www. 1728. org/guitar. htm/humbucker5. gif< /image: loc>
< photograph: caption> Series Parallel Coil Reduce Guitar Pickup Change < /image: caption>
< photograph: title> Guitar Swap < /image: title>
< /image: image>
< photograph: image>
< photograph: loc> http: //www. 1728. org/guitar. htm/phase. gif< /image: loc>
< photograph: caption> Guitar Stage Switch< /image: caption>
< photograph: title> Guitar Switch< /image: title>
< /image: image>
< /url>

Could it be necessary to have both the caption and title tags

I do think that’s the correct syntax but just about any remarks, comments can be quite helpful.

Here’s the Google certification…

You could have your XML virtually the same.

mlseim

Hence, I guess this syntax is okay
Thanks with the reply.

(Now it’s time to provide a lot with images to my own sitemap).

Hmmm this reveals I had spoken too early.
I tried validating which and got an error message that expresses the error is
in line 602 column 15 and that is in this line:

< photograph: image> The red signifies the location where the error is.

The particular error message is actually:
Prefix " image" for element " photograph: image" is definitely not bound.

Line 602 is the location where the first image tags show up.

Any help with this could be greatly appreciated.

Where have you been validating it

I validated it with many on-line validators (including Google) and none advisors liked line 602.
The validator that gave me that particular mistake message was the following:
http: //www. validome. org/xml/validate/

Post all of your XML file

I tried enetering the entire XML file (about ONE, 600 lines) and got an error message that the particular posting was too big.
Hence, I edited them down. The image files causing the challenge are right following your guitar. htm track. I thought this < /url> tag might have been the challenge but I moved it to ensure it was inside the same position because the others but this errors didn’t disappear altogether.

Anyhow, here it is actually:

It has related to schema…
It is one discussion POST found…

I’m not an experienced in this spot, but by seeing your " mixed" XML, you could have
to own a separate one only for images. Do extra Google searches on " XML photograph sitemap schema"

Gives thanks mlseim

I guess I’ll want to do some more homework. The way things are explained on websites, computer manuals, instruction manuals is completely crappy!!
Sure they’ll quickly go over making a split XML file – not The way to do it — oh no – just make a separate one.
and also thanks again msleim.

just enter xml sitemap mill, don’t worry about creating your personal, seems like a waste of their time to me.
