A number of call me the space cowboy, some name me the gangster associated with love. Most name me J.
I’ve been studying website development for sometime and also have devoured many publications (mostly O’Reilly) over the last few months and get gotten an excellent grasp of web design, Xhtml, CSS, plus a little Java Script.
Fortunately a buddy has given us a spot in his server to be able to experiemnt with. I’m also carrying out a project for his site with his guidance.
Immediately after uploading several web pages onto the node using WS FTP, I tried to obtain the page for you to display online; zero dice. When the page displays all the images are damaged, to further discombobulate me as well as the address bar demonstrates a local correct (what’s up with that)
What am I disregarding something Has this kind of ever happened that will anyone else
This appears like a great forum with numerous great info hopefully someone might help.
Thank you.
Any chance you might give us some sort of URI so we can take a look
What software do you think you’re using to make your pages More than likely, all src characteristics in images (and hrefs around links) point to help local addresses, just like C: /site/blah. jpg, as an alternative to " img/blah. jpg".
Thanks to the replys.
The url displays from the address bar platforms as if them were local: document: ///C: /Documents%20and%20Settings/owner/sitename/page. html
I used Dreamweaver 8 to make the pages. How do i fix the src’s and tags They appear fine in program code.
I highly recommend you help.
Maybe you have a web server Thinking of sure WS_FTP is connecting to it
It sounds like you are just connecting to somewhat of a local file
Ya I’m capable to see the root and each of the pages/folder on the server. WS makes that sound while i open a page for a server.
How would I am aware if I are not on a equipment.
