HELP a beginner please

Howdy people, okay i’ve never design an online site before and I really believe I have lots of problems of this actual website. Is it possible guys tell my family improve it thanks that url is http: //www. geocities. com/adeluniwsc didi Fundamentally, your biggest problem i always see is your main content area. White/Orange text over a black background is murder for the eyes. You should try out for something that permits black text. Remember you can however keep it dark/worn (ala internet. wddg. com ) Also your page tears is a bit, well, strange. I think these are too short as well as too contrasty. Whatever the brand new background color is, the paper shreds must be pretty near to the same color. A cool idea could be to put all of the content on a sheet of paper with the particular corner torn off (and place the heading in it). The remaining design is great, coding is not necessarily well thought via. I would suggest losing the frames/iframe, whatever it really is and make the entire page scroll. In order to take the time to learn to code correctly manually , with Web Standards you might eliminate the … Continue reading

Opinions on RSS

we have done a small research into and in every am not truly that impressed. perhaps i dont know it enough however if someone these has an opinion or reason behind like or angst lets here them The reason its catching in so well is because it highlights what online was ment pertaining to, accessing information rapidly. You can check out rss threads quickly instead of having to waves to each site one at a time and wade via pages or media threads.. Its all in one spot and all in an uncomplicated to recognize formatting. It makes getting information on-line very quick plus efficient. I don’t see the use in it client-side, it’s just bothersome if you ask me. Nonetheless… for taking head lines from other sites, I think it is just a supurb idea. By way of example, you can get ALA’s current articles listed in your site if you want without having to do anything about the idea, same goes with regard to top news storeis, slashdot, for example. That, I consider, it the accurate beauty of them. Agree by using Brak, it’s good for including buttons to content out of one site upon another. By way … Continue reading

Standards?

Having spluf getting this specific new gig during ESPN, I get really been reading through up about world wide web standards and precisely what not. The thing is, I am fairly new to webdesign, but is not new in the sense i always just started building sites. I familiar with manage some gaming sites instruction online the 97-99 years, and back then all of the news updating was done personally. All these new things just like content management along with absolute standards are generally new to the ears. To get quite honest, I’ve a fair level of catching up to undertake. For starters, I would like to learn exactly how to make standards-compliant code. I’ve done a search in the posts here and visit a little dried out. Are there almost any threads, articles, or sites outside w3schools that I want to read Thanks in advance guys. These three sites have helped us drag my head out of my bumm, and get into creating towards models…. plus the truth that i HATE the idea when people can perform better than my family, so i learned standards for being the best (out of my local freinds, not everyone inside world), and … Continue reading

ALA Dying?

Any individual else notice the deficit of enthusiasum from A list Apart lately I think this (lame) article is up for nearly three weeks. Seems like while i found ALA a few months ago it was pumping out amazing posts faster than I can read them. Then suddenly it resolved to go downhill.. 5, 000 drop-shadow strategies later and they’re lucky that they are pushing an article per month. Personally, I’ve been embracing Sitepoint to nourish my constant content cravings. What’s your single dads this Maybe Zeldman will be cooking up some thing big Maybe they have saving for something which will leave our jaws on the floor Or might be ALA’s just turning into a bastardized child of the crazy scientist’s experiment. Befor the overhaul in October ALA might have the same article up for many weeks or even months at a time. ALA has pumped pretty much 30 articles since that time. That is about articles every week along with a half. So I believe they are doing very good. It’s just a point of view thing i imagine. Taa daa! Wired> > I understand that This specific article was shared three Tuesdays back, hence my place was … Continue reading

We are posting this Thread just for getting some criminal court opinion,,, An ongoing client peddling some art supplies can be insisting the website itself must be " avant-garde, a work of art, " and is definitely throwing out almost all usability and design standards (like map-reading bars/menus, header/footer, etc) merely all around health deal with " paintings. " I would be the first to admit I’ve much to understand design still : so I welcome this sort of challenges and try to learn from these. I am acquiring discussions with the woman about keeping her audience in mind, etc. Any advice/talking points/links to read from the trenches I make an effort to stay current at blogs like ALA or Smashing, but want some real globe info. Thank you. ___________ FONT=& quot web page design companies/FONT Intended for showing their art… their idea will be great. Intended for selling something… their particular idea is terrible.
