Can someone post me some tutorials please
Basically i got told to create a site for IE7 as well as Firefox 2. 0. My client said that because IE7 is going to be taking over IE6 there isn’t any reason to faff around from it. Furthermore 97% connected with visitors to the last site were using something apart from IE6. Its now built but we would like to redirect IE6 users to your splash page and ask them to also use FF as well as IE7. There will in addition be a switch which when clicked presents them a cookie for them to browse with IE6 whenever they wish so. My life has been realy hectic lately. (GF’s mum passed on 10 days ago), i’m moving house and Relating to an exam throughout 10 days. If someone could direct me to how i possibly could differentiate between surfers and how possible send a cereal bar. Help on this is VERY VERY significantly appreciated Why do you need to tell you site visitors that their browser is old and also updated! Especially IE6 MY SPOUSE AND I fear that certainly not everyone " can" redesign to IE7… like me in my own working environment… that they haven’t updated … Continue reading →

"Auto loading" a page after an animation?
Hey, here is this goal…. Concerning animated a company logo in flash, but it plays when just one first visits coursesmart. When the animation ends I want the page to switch to somewhat of a page with subject matter that uses one more frame of that animation (the completed logo) as being the background without a computer owner having to click on anything. Is this possible What is the best method I know how to work the animation, and set your background and whatnot, should just know how to get the page to switch without attention at the end of the animation. Thanks. Their should be a redirect at the end of the animation (done within Flash). That redirect will probably be to a PHP script which sets a biscuit and returns returning to the main page (where the first flash was located). Along at the top of in which page, it will check for the cookie. In the event that it exists, the Flash animation is definately not shown. The Flash animation is often programmed to route to " cereal bar. php" when it truly is finished (after quite a few pre-determined delay). And then, you’ll need your PHP … Continue reading →

Does anyone still…
code their particular websites I’ve been from the game a although, since about JULY 2004. Starting to go back into things all over again, and get caught back up on everything that may be happened between at this point & then and WE keep noticing that every website I discover, including HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP etc short training sites are just about all made from some type of CMS like Live journal or Joomla or even equivalent. Does anybody still code their particular websites or has that craft evolved into downloading and looking to extend your favourite CMS I code my very own, generally speaking. Evaluate it this means: Google, eBay and Amazon don’t use off-the-shelf CMSes. The reason why would anyone serious not follow fit I code my very own, I don’t think We’d ever go purely to somewhat of a CMS. : cigarette smoker: i’m currently building a CMS. really does that count Good to understand. Just kinda seems overwhelming to my advice. No. Every website I have ever created because I started utilizing server side encoding and backend directories was a CMS regarding some sort, with all sorts of dynamic content invention, eliminating redundancy or the need … Continue reading →

jab at javascript.
post made this reacting to a gallery question and took the particular opertunity to cling it to javascript(i loathe it so therefore much). but… unfortunately. i don’t have enough machines in order to cross browser check out it. can some of you look in your browsers and inform me if it is garbage. i know the links must be thumbnail but i’ll arrive at that if aging suck. http: //richardkentgates. com/examples/focus. php and a little shot so that you can see what it should seem like. My site requires cookies to be able to remember a visitor’s preferences. If a cereal bar called " bandwidth" isn’t detected the beautiful box appears at every page right up until the cookie is defined. The problem may be that Safari has up to now absolutely refused to line cookies via JavaScript contrary to Opera and Gecko primarily based browsers. Dorky — using Firefox SEVERAL. 6. 9 – looks fine to me. Anything for example I should be in search of i have ff as well. i was trying to find some safari, ie7 or perhaps ie6 checks. thx to get checking it tho.
