Dreamweaver MX – remove locked file

For whatever reason, a file on my workplace is becoming locked by Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver will not want to present it back. 90% of that time period I will be one editing the report but sometimes it will have other people. To edit the item I created a brand new file with that changes and FTP’d it towards the server (not by means of Dreamweaver). Therefore, how do WE unlock this dam file MY SPOUSE AND I right click the particular file, click Check out, click No for Independant Files then We are told " The FTP error happened, cannot get archive. html" Virtually any ideas, cheers.

Dreamweaver MX and php

Hello, I’ve volunteered to edit a site that has pages in php formatting. I use Dreamweaver MX, know some basics and have made/edited sites around html but for no reason used php. Next time i look at the website in Design view I don’t obtain the page content exhibiting, only the header, footer and menu although I can see the internet page text in Code view so the all there on internet land…. Is it possible to view and edit your website in design look at I don’t learn how to edit code. Every help really apprieciated! Regards, Lily Hello. Php is the server side language so to discover it you nned to load it with a server. Or you should utilize WAMP/MAMP and developed your PC as being a server enviroment tests. Or work online constantly. Make changes, upload to the webhost and view it online. PHP is required to be executed on this webhost’s server (or your own personal server). Thanks for the replies. Using Dreamweaver MX should I upgrade?

With the last several years We’ve been using dreamweaver MX. But lately more people are asking me to style websites for these people or help preserve their sites. Will Dreamweaver CS5 benefit cross browser if it is compatible testing than MX does My business is also getting more into using CSS now besides tables. It really varies according to how much you recognize about HTML and also CSS, if anyone dont really realize code standards, I would recommend you upgrade. The later variants of DreamWeaver will support code snippets plus hints more based on today’s code benchmarks (such as xHTML4 in addition to CSS3). That technique, when DreamWeaver facilitates with coding, it will be using up-to-date specifications, and not old standards which can be now becoming deprecated.
