New help required.
Howdy all, This will likely seem a tad basic but I am really stuck. I have no clue how to layout backgrounds – also simple ones like a two tone image. Within Frontpage, you choose a theme also it does it available for you but secure create backgrounds as well as themes in some other applications The obvious would be to design something throughout PhotoShop. But to be honest, you need for you to stipulate an photograph size. I have zero idea how great the image needs to be because I have no idea of how much info I am going to place on my web site! In addition to unless the patern is actually basic, I won’t have the ability to just repeat it over and over as a background image precisely as it won’t be seamless. And and here , I am trapped. By way of example, I saw a web page that had a super easy background. About 1/3 in the width of the particular page, there was any squiggly line – almost much like the letter " s" echoing itself. On one side the colour was blue and also the other was white wine. We have … Continue reading

Is this possible?
Our own school network makes use of Windows 2000 server with around A HUNDRED client computers most with windows 2000 expert OS. Each student has his or her logon name as well as password which they will use on any computer from the school. When logged on, they can access use of the computers, as well as have access to their own documents and documents. I want to produce the school website even more of an fun place for students where they will use their username and password on the website from their internet connected home computer. This is to allow them to access their files on the school server from a home office (the server is linked with the internet, so it can be accessed), and then both download or upload files therefore to their area. I was wondering if this is possible, and if yes, how If no, would anyone be able to develop some kind of script for it With thanks. umn. i guess it’s possible somehow, but if you are network administrator will be anything like our bait he’d just tell you to get missing. It probably is realistic; (sorry I are not aware of anything … Continue reading

The Zen of CSS Design : Visual Enlightenment for the Web
Has anybody read this specific book Does that really help adding into practise what I’ve learnt from " HTML Utopia Desining with no tables using CSS" I’ve picked up the basics, and today I need help with how to really put everything into practice by designing the complete website in CSS having graphics etc. WE haven’t read that book, but I’ve viewed it a tad (just didn’t would like to drop that much money on them then, so I got an XML book). I are not aware of how well it puts the ideas into practice however. Eric Meyer’s books appear to put CSS to practical and graphical apply though. You may choose to check into those people. I ‘m reading it. Not finished yet but a long way I believe that it is good. We have a lot of design talk in there and they also cover bits connected with design theory, processes and gubbins that adheres to that, which i really like. So if the into that almost thing and want to know a lot of the designers thoughts in addition to decisions that went in designs you will like it too. Wish this helps. With thanks. I … Continue reading

my new client INSISTS that I should set up a template for them
But they may be musicians, so I discover where they’re coming from. Also, I am already interested in a long-term maintenance contract with another client. Basically my clients will not be 100% code-savvy and so they want a system where should they type something around word, it can be instantly uploaded on the website. Does anyone know what type of thing I’m preaching about I said i always would do it, since I’ve heard about it actually becoming done, but currently I’m stuck. Bless you. BTW, I get TSW webcoder as my HTML software package, not Dreamweaver. Do need to learn much code to cut and insert the content towards the website, especially when the content is marked off in the code for straightforward readability. What I suggest, if you don’t want to add a CMS towards site, is to redo the site via CSS in the event you haven’t, create a distant relative div tag when the center content material, /* Comment that code where they should cut and stick */, and get them open any html editor and cut and substance the info. Sounds a tad Mickey Mouse, plus it will work when done properly, and it’s not … Continue reading

AP Studio Art?
Hi there, Can there be anybody out right now there with any experience in AP Studio Art More mainly, 2D Design My business is wondering if my experience in artwork design and net development would guide me along as. Do you believe that it is a good time period investment Just to show a little my current skill level, here are 2 versions of the web site I’ve been working on for any company (note: they are uncompleted and for some of them, the graphics optimization are still being worked on so most of the images may appear a tad fuzzy and value unclear): Primary, website form: http: //homepage. mac pc. com/olsonweb/umbongo/ Subsequent, image form (did your HTML but haven’t hosted it yet): http: //img35. imageshack. us/img35/6118/home63ns. jpg I recently graduated, and MY PARTNER AND I took art 12 regular. I do think ap studio art is going pure art. Any technical know-how like html and also css wouldn’t be very beneficial. As well, website design and design in general is about commercialism, selling your client’s products or services. Highschool art courses focus more about art that evokes emotion in lieu of " design", although I’m definitely not certain if … Continue reading
