Blocks in Drupal

I’m implementing a site that has been built using Drupal HALF A DOZEN. I need to add a line of text on every page. I also are interested to be additional automatically to any kind of new page developed. I researched along with found that block are what you want. So I left for admin-> site building-> hinders. I see there are several blocks enabled as well as some disabled. They almost all have set destinations. I can’t learn how to add a fresh block. I want to buy to be correct under the list. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Just click " add block" while in the tabs at the top part. In the final section, select " exhibit on every web site except… " and don’t checklist any pages while in the box below. Put the content in your body of the prohibit, and give the idea a title, next save it. Next, in your prohibit list, drag it into the region you want to buy to display around and click " Save". I’m from a World Civ class that works with learning thought know-how. Need some input and or help with layout design

To begin with, The site I am trying to style and design is one for Minecraft. I were running the adventure server for more than a year at this point. But my website is lacking a new hole lot. I don’t know if it is a design of that layout or just what exactly not.
