Creating a forum
Hiya, I wasn’t guaranteed about which forum get started on this thread in… hopefully this the first is ok: classic: I’m pondering creating a online community for our intranet, mainly only for communication between staff members, such as logging computer glitches, leaving memos in order to other staff associates, etc. Can anyone recommend fine (cheap, if definitely not free) forum computer software, to save me the need to code something by myself Kind regards!: laugh: Assuming you can run PHP-based forums you’ll find lots of scripts you need to use. The most favorite free ones are generally http: //www. phpbb. com/ and http: //www. invisionboard. com/. To get paid boards you will find http: //www. vbulletin. com/ to get either $85/year, or $160 the initial year and then $30 for your other years. With thanks fil! I am going to give phpbb a go… I’ve a similar issue after having researched lots of forum software (though MY SPOUSE AND I missed phpBB). What I’m looking for is much simpler, more like your BLOG setup. Is there any simple way to setting up something similar to a BLOG yet with net access by only several people To paraphrase I post an … Continue reading

free smtp outgoing mail
can you really get a cost-free smtp outgoing mail we would like one because my isp is screwing me around and we can NEVER log in all i’d like to see it for should be to have as the outgoing mail machine for my electronic mail because my snail mail inbox is pop3. sorry i am to not familiar with e-mail so sorry if this can be a crap question In case you have a web host you probably already have them. If not I bet you’ll find free (albeit probably impossible to make use of and configure GNU beasts) servers you need to use on your very own computer. yes i’ve seen free servers to work with on my pc, but what i specifically want it for is to the outgoing mail to get my forum… i will check my host but i don’t even think i have it general health told me to apply my isps outgoing postal mail server, but in which never works, not once in about 3 years i determined that my sponsor charges 15 1 year for smtp so i might get that unless i could sort my expected free isp snail mail account.

Stupid question
Within e-mail, when somebody is provided with a message that was BCC’ed to these people, does that imply that the From will be hidden Not a chance, it looks including they recieved a persons email actually… the To handle will say who seem to the message was actually sent to. Example The header from a email I routed: Directed from: sconnorhartford. edu Sent to: splufdaddyyahoo. com BCC: scottscottconnor. com The header that the actual scottconnor. com e mail had: So far as the outlook GUI moves, outlook displayed the item as From hartford, to yahoo. Acceptable, I get that. ($5 available for you ) Many thanks.

Forms, E-Mail and Database question…
A buddy and I usually are doing some web development for a posting company. Both of us have good practical experience with HTML, flash, and web audio tracks and video. But we have no idea jack about significantly else. Affected person our boss inquired us to somehow allow it to become so that when people complete forms on her website, the results usually are both e-mailed to a tally and a file is created with the data in any format that his or her database program incorporate the use of so that he doesn’t should manually add the knowledge to the list program (Dbase) on the e-mails. If someone could possibly please explain in my experience the steps I need to take to complete this, and tell me which kind of files I will need to get or generate, etc. that could well be much appreciated. Thank you. Robert your going to should try to learn a server-side scripting words. degrees of some popular ‘languages’: : ASP (active node pages) : PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) : JSP (Java Node Pages) : CGI with PERL (Common Gateway Interface)(the best. nevertheless the hardest) Sending the contents with the form will be easy to … Continue reading

Client Login
With my index internet page, I would need a login (username/password) pertaining to my clients and/or site visitors. I was taking a look at different CMS but would you like to have a CMS so as to have a login section The login is so after they log in, they can read their contact and PM along with announcements. Well but if your not looking for your really secure login you may always write some JS and possess the password be the name with the page it visits, write the mode with anything you choose only having your password section in fact work any server-side language can perform it. Just make use of a database to shop usernames and passwords. I do not know on how to help setup a server-side terminology. Daylights, I don’t really know what that is =/ Links to how to implement a login area of my index page My business is looking at CMS but I have trouble either putting in or customizing your index page. Trying to make a website where users could get e-mail and PMs is very an undertaking, especially if you can not know a server-side terms. I’d suggest you grab … Continue reading
Small Company Network over 3 locations
Anyone have any advice in this I might have the next job where we shall be doing tiny to medium web 2 . 0, and one on the possibilities is to connect 3 separate LANs from 3 offices with each other. Don’t know much beyond this however. Initial guess is always to have " server" on one location, having all 3 workplaces VPN’ing into that. Any advice with this scenario and VPNs on the whole would be wonderful, thanks! VPN may perhaps be your best guess. How secure does the full thing should be How many users are you searching at having but will they have roaming profiles It might be a thought to have the server at each location get rid of WAN traffic if there will be a lot with users moving loads of data. Bear in mind, one server means one central position of failure for your entire network. It was great some three years ago when the organization Exchange server fails in California (and Im in Maryland) and nobody inside the entire corporate network can use Outlook, including e-mail. ATM I’ve no other specialization skills. Security will often be high on this list, considering this would … Continue reading

Online Application
My organization is creating a webpage for any private company, and so they requested that I put a web based application form, that once submitted, would display in an e-mail. I was wondering what the most effective way of going about this is. I know the basic principles of cgi-bin, and how you can create forms. Also it should be secure, due towards nature of the information. I read somewhere that to secure a secure form you recently put a normal form over a secure server. Regardless, if I ‘m misinformed, or knowing the best way to apply, your help is appreciated. That is my first post on here, and I honestly don’t know what the turtle dollar value could be on a question like this. If I grossly more than or under-offered, feel free to inform me. Thank you. Yes, Some server possess shared security certificates but that gives you a little security warning if the internet explorer controls are set with their default levels which over a whole the the vast majority are.. You would like an SSL instrument. SSL (Secured Socket Layer), is employed for sending as well as receiving sensitive information for instance Credit Card data. … Continue reading

I got an idea, but thats it.
Well I registered my space and found a new host so now We would like to design my personal website. Here is surely an outline of the item. Code: Atheist Little league. org C Blog Outline – Screaming = AtheistLeague. org + In logic we rely on. – Navigation – Home – Reading – Papers – Newsletters – Area – Members Data – Discussion Forums – News – Contact – Logon = E-Mail + Password – Poll – Seek out My idea could be to have a small banner to the top of the website with the seek out or login towards right of the item. On the left side could be everything else. Not to mention the content would go at the center. However, I have no artistic talent or sense so I’m sure I will find this quite hard. You can both hire someone to design the site available for you, or buy any template from anyone like www. templatemonster. com (if you would like your site to take a look like others which have purchased the very same template). As far because login, it seems the only reason because of this is for the discussion boards. Due … Continue reading
