100% Stretch Or Not

Hi Im from a dialema the present site im implementing looks good yet is smallish upon screen, nearly every one of the sites i discover are set to 100% so they really fill the enitre screen but i feel this would leave a huge gap of unused space for the one im implementing and remove through the visual effects. Can a site sized at 750 * 550 centralised vertically and also horizontally still look as good as a site which fills up the whole screen sure…. there are sooooo many sites to choose from that have the width of 720-ish simply check the thumbnails upon www. cssvault. com I ment vertically definitely not horizontally my site is going 725 by 600 but i dont need to really stretch it being full length of a users screen because i believe it will leave lots of empty space but im confused if not possessing it 100% throughout length will detract from the site. also… hmmmm… i’m personnaly not too fond of site that will not span 100% length. i feel like i’m inside a tiny box, especially once i view it having my 21inch with 1600×1200 res. although that’s just us Is … Continue reading

How can I remove the empty space on my website

Hi What will i do to remove the ghastly bare space on my own website Before uploading it towards the internet I tested it in Dreamweaver and it also looked alright but when i uploaded it (just consider! ) there is niagra huge empty area. The site is at www. letsmakenigeriaabetterplace. com You need to help. I do not own time to check (1: 00am), but 99% of the time, that happens once the widths of individuals floated elements are usually too wide, so they end up dropping down and doing a myriad of wierd things. The belief that it looks okay in DW without in a browser, tells me that some of those widths is maybe Couple pixels too huge (ok, maybe SEVERAL or 4). Shave some of those divs down as well as I’ll bet everthing slides back into place. *Note: You could have position: absolute mixed around a floated factors, which may become your problem too, since it will be after your float declaration, it could override the float. So check that out as well. Don’t mix float and absolute roles. Hi Aeroweb99 I have checked the style sheet and I still can’t determine it out. Yes … Continue reading

un-written rule? Images under a vertical menu?

Hi everyone. Now i’m a wannabee web-designer. I improve a template structured design company. I have no training in addition to what i include picked up over time. I have a question associated with " The RIGHT strategy to design a website" Here at work we all get many opinions within the do’s and you should not s. I sooo want to get some professional advice merely may. Picture if you could a simple template layout. a) Major, header with a logo. b) Quit side, a " VERTICAL" column together with navigation menu. c) Under the header so to the right on the menu we have the main Body textual content area. d) footer with the base of the website. Dilemma: Considering the above template layout planned, we often end up with around 5 hyperlinks to 5 pages while in the navigation column. Often this creates lots of empty space while in the navigation menu area. If there’s a lot of content in one’s body area of the site it may be necessary to scroll lower, increasing the empty area under the actual navigation. Lots of designers here plan to add images having 1 px boarders towards navigation area to … Continue reading

Floating ad

Good day. I wish to accomplish something on the following forum: http: //tech-squad. org/ I want to begin a Google AdSense skyscraper ad I would like it to be to the left side. It should stay scrolling while using person, and make perfectly with the top end " navigation menu" or whatever you need to call it… the thing that says " Residence, FAQ, etc… " YET here’s the find… only on huge screens… when there’s tons of extra space around the side. How thank you So the actual " tech-squad" carries a site (script) failure MY SPOUSE AND I can’t view their site. But I must say that any floating google ad could well be annoying. That’s my opinion. . Mass media queries and predetermined positioning. But including mlseim said, that will be horribly annoying. OK. If you’re more dedicated it’s horribly frustrating I won’t take action. Yes I’m cognizant of the PHP error. I screwed in place some core data files and I’m having somebody fix it. Lol. I simply thought that placing an ad there would consume some of that empty space.

Empty Space?

Website showcased: http: //shovenose. com/ As possible see, why are each of the pages still big even when it only has 1 distinct content Many thanks. #left2 width: 980px; height: auto; float: still left; padding: 10px; background-color: #1977B0; You get min-height set, just remove that line also it will scale to the content. I used to be about to say that Ganners… I thought it was min-height but I still did not notice it inside left2 div. Thanks for any help!!! Work with Chrome’s ‘inspect element’. It highlights everything regarding ya. We have a hatred out of Chrome. so not any I’d always be lost without chrome’s examine element. Alternatively find firebug for firefox! Saves All his time on things much like this. Firebug fails in FF8 https: //addons. mozilla. org/en-US/firefox/addon/firebug/ Theres any version out regarding Firefox 8. 0 by using Firebug 1. 9a0 Does it not be right for you This add-on is not updated to seek advise from your version involving Firefox. Which is odd. Won’t be long until the working version can be release I guess. I’ll stick along with 6. 0 for the moment then! Prefer chrome anyway for it, a bit simpler to work with. … Continue reading

divs

Howdy everyone POST, m new to that so please become patient….. what rae essentially the most common divs used when generating a web site eg wrapper, header, content and footer will be what i, ve been told and are you ready for widths height etc of the forementioned any help will be great thanks earlier in CSS you can define the " divs" any way you desire, there are simply no " standards"… naming conventions in the DIVS are up to you. In the western world width and elevation, same thing applies… that all varies according to the design you are attempting to acheive, but education sake… you will discover 2 kinds involving designs ( in all probability more, but because of this converstation )… static – in which you define the fixed width and everything to the page pretty much displays from the same location, whether you’re seeing it over a 17 in keep an eye on, or a TWENTY-FIVE inch wide screen. the drawbacks to that are obvious. if the design is set to your width of 1024, anyone running the resolution wider than that will see empty areas on each side from the design, the better the … Continue reading
