PHP Header Includes: Style Question

I am just (obviously) pretty new to web development but I have got a decent computer track record including some college-level lisenced users. To make my website as speedy to maintain and updateable as you can I’m trying to utilize CSS to control as much as possible, and I’m likewise experimenting with applying server side includes to stop duplicating code. Specifically I’m implementing PHP’s include() function in adding a header. web coding which contains this navigation menu. Here’s where my question is supplied in. I realized that we could conceivably put all the normal opening HTML CODE junk (the doctype announcement, the html, scalp, title, meta, link to stylesheet, and opening shape tags) into my own included header file and have my page be an include statement on the top, the content with the page in the particular file, and a footer include at the end to take care on the /body and /html and also anything else at the end. Stylistically, is there nearly anything wrong with that is definitely it poor web development practice Is there an occasion I could come across problems later Or is that this better since I’m making the exact content more modular compared … Continue reading

developing a community website

A quick one.. I am aware at least JUST ONE of our frequent members runs your community site.. Am i allowed to include information with a specific company/business, or am i going to need to contact them first I have found information on the net that is okay personally to use, but must need permission through the owner (The information were talking about is actually opening times, correct, and so on). If you are possibly not violating copyright (using the work without permission) I think you can be fine. Assuming this is a public business which advertises their services on the internet. By posting openly available information while you mentioned, you usually are effectively advertising with regard to them! You need to be paid for spreading such information, not worry about repercussions! Well I attempted to email the dog owner from the email given however it bounced back.. The footer’s copyright claims 2002.. I am going to include a check out that page and develop information. Thank you guys.

Know what I want, not how

I am aware exactly how I would like the page being setup, but I’ve got some learning to accomplish. If anyone can certainly tell me what I’m looking to do (in technical terms) then hopefully I will take it following that. What I would really prefer to do is possess a page with a highly regarded and bottom bar/table/whatever which are always there which stay on the very best and bottom no matter if the page resizes. Also, inside the major body there would be a menu on the left that could stay aligned on the top bar because the browser expands downwards. I’d like it to end up being lightweight and tight so that there are not any visible boarders, simply blocks of coloration. It seems such as CSS is easily ideal, but in that reading I’ve obeyed far I have not found anything that simply tells me how to accomplish this so I’m undecided if I’m headed inside wrong direction. The image below will need to help illustrate my goal. Thanks for virtually every advice, code, or resources it is possible to provide! http: //img2. imagepile. net/images/77112708. png simple enough to do all you’d do is make something … Continue reading

My site needs something more.

Hello there, I am presently re-designing pulpingfiction. com, a blog site of a good friend of mine. He or she doesn’t know WEB CODING, so me along with another friend do every one of the HTML work even though he just produces the blogs. We wanted to have the site going as quickly as possible, so we just used a no cost template. We would choose to have an primary look though, so I will be redesigning the web site from scratch. Concerning the basic design organized, but it surely needs something a lot more. I’m not convinced what else I’ll add — maybe a little design inside the black space beneath the content container Give me ideas, I’ll probably apply them. Also, I’m preparing to adding a footer someplace, and feel totally free to critique any part I’ve created to date, though I probably will not changing the still left hand portion in the big logo (upper left-hand corner). http: //i4. photobucket. com/albums/y143/RippinZ06/screenshot2. jpg I’m not only a big fan of white text upon black background. You should try a number of variations of this content box (the african american one) and see if making the actual box light … Continue reading

You’ll need to do a dash of < div> nesting. The most important problem you’ll face now is a height of the left panel. It is a typical " can’t determine the height" sort of problem that is fixed with " faux columns". If you recognize that the height from the left and center is fixed, you’ll be OK. Stonework by Dave Romero Mockup

And here is a mockup of what might be the base on the site for your stone-worker in Las Vegas, Innovative Mexico. Anyone suggest any tweaks Or maybe, do you that it I would also make the logo text rather bigger, or the nav text a tad smaller, especially since they may be so close with each other… but that is probably me. Either way I’m keen on it. There’s no doubt that you’ll discover who’s looks nice that it is now, but when you have images of actual career sites and precise stonework, those images might be very light and bright when compared to " skins" of this site. It shall be a rather tough contrast. Put some photos in your site and see when there is. Actually, the majority of the photo’s have loads of red’s and dark greens because of the location, but I recognize what you signify. I’ve started ripping up the site, and I have a challenge for a few of you. IE is launching the footer part of the site amusing, and the value seems fine to me. So, I’d like to uncover why before POST hack it. http: //drstonework. evercambio. com/ http: //drstonework. … Continue reading

Howdy guys, A couple of things…. ONE PARTICULAR. Just been focusing on this – http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad/ – and on on the list of school computers it’s apparently listed all askew with IE6. The photostrip to the right is overlapping the actual blue footer and also obscuring the contact details inside the footer. Laptop has it’s display screen resolution set in order to 1280 x 1024 px. I’ve tried replicating the item on other computers with the same screen res but can’t have it to happen. Although We have got IE7 fitted everywhere. … in addition to… A COUPLE OF. When the internet site is viewed throughout different screen file sizes, different browsers or perhaps without certain toolbars, for example, there is your white ‘gap’ at the end due to the background I’m utilizing… My question here is would there be any route to make everything under the footer display because same light random world background colour I suppose I could just use a typical background colour as opposed to the background image but I’m keen on the shadow result it allows me to set-up. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thankyou so much in advance!!: exhausted: I identified … Continue reading
