making updates (and life) easier

Hi there everyone, My question pertains to making it less difficult to update this site. The website that I’ve got running is at www. 1000words. net – it shows a different photo and essay to the ‘front’ page each day. It involves me editing the primary page, the gallery page also , the page individual to that submission. I complete these changes manually. Hence, the updating method is quite primative and I want to get a more easier or automated solution to do it. Compared, for instance, there is the Mirror Project on www. mirrorproject. com – the technique used to navigate is akin to what I’m seeking since it shows a picture plus corresponding text for you to each ‘page. Would someone be able to tell me what tools are used Particularly for checking (re: http: //www. mirrorproject. com/mirror/recent/id=17879), it works really simply and it would be nifty to have a very search function. Uploading Frontpage Themes HELP Req Pls

Hi there all, We would like some help. I’ve recently set up my own website. I designed the website in MS Frontpage. For the reason that web hosting isn’t going to support frontpage extensions, I’ve uploaded through Lovable FTP. I’ve used a motif for my internet pages, yet when We have uploaded my internet pages, the theme doesn’t show online and I don’t know why. Can anyone help. PS sorry in the event I’m not explaining myself perfectly…. I am a whole novice. What is the _vti_cnf about?

Next time i use front page to create a web site they may be to build a good folder called _vti_cnf under my other folders. It also is just a copy with the folder it is definitely under. can anybody inform me what as well as, and is that necessary They’re dumped presently there by FrontPage to store information about files such seeing that their associated products. I don’t trust there’s a way to get rid of them other than to shed FrontPage extensions.

Need some help.

I’ve a problem, I want to be able to have news with my front page, but I don’t wish to have to format and also archive it personally. I also want to be able to use my MICROSOFT frontpage shared borders about it. Anyone have any ideas (An example of what I want are available here. Ook, a person’s link crashed my personal browser, and My browsers, including this download. For not doing it manually….. I’m guessing an individual mean by certainly not actually typing the html for every news post, and moving this older news on the archive. The fastest way I can think about doing this is thru PHP or even perl, or an additional server-side language. And either integrate that has a forum (the main forum softwares have newsportals, which cause it to way easier), but in case you dont need a forum with your site, this isnt needed. You could check into phpnuke, or something along those lines in case you dont want to be able to code the backend oneself. Frontpage Hassles

Simply no use really giving you all the details, but in short Need to use front page for your site I’m today the webmaster of. Previously it was hanled by someone else I have certainly not talked to nor should i think I is able to talk to. I figured out learn to get the site downloadable… but now this freakin thing wont let me upload anything. I’m almost specific it has related to frontpage, it gives us 550 Access Denied once i try it along with FTP. When WHEN I try uploading that via the " Submit Web" it wont sign me in when using the same username/password I use to buy the ftp (that functions fine) Does frontpage exclusively use one username/password with regard to it’s own extensions useage What does someone need to notify the server admin to help you me fix this Also anyone that knows plenty about frontpage generally Iw ould gladly appreciate it if you would give me a person’s AIM (or goal me at BraksAIM) mainly because I have a few other questions that I may or will not be able to learn… grr I dislike video games something fierce I’m working hard … Continue reading →

Netscape crash

Im doing a new site and I have inserted a scrolling text in the front page. Looking at in Explorer it all looks fine, however in Netscape there is a large space around the bottom, which is the same as the space the entire rolling text derives passion for had it also been static text. Can anyone make sure you help me keeping this Im obviously carrying out something wrong inside the coding of this particular scrolling text. Heya Guys, I’m a network engineer, i have never done websites in my entire life. Firstly i have some advice on what software to make use of to redesign in addition to fixup my is effective homepage. Fitting page to all screen resolutions

Hi there, I use FrontPage to design.. I am having trouble determining tips on how to size my tables so that they will fix from a 1280×1024 browser. Currently my settings are generally on 100% regarding window, and everything fits nice in an 800×600 or perhaps 1024×768, but naturally 100% regarding window doesn’t look delicious in the increased resolution.
