Hi, I’m new here but it looks like a nice place to discuss website design. I’m doing a course at college or university on Internet Processing. Okay, to the issue of any name. I want to help rename my website becasue it can be long and MY SPOUSE AND I hate typing it on a regular basis and I want to expand it out a little. I can’t explain to you want the website is at the moment becasue the hosting provider (which WHEN I didn’t choose, another person who runs the site with me became it) just decided they nolonger wanted to acquire a server up and as a result I have zero server again. So I’m about to start again using a new name and also design. In regards to the site: It is an entertainment internet site that covers songs, movies, tv, a radio station, sports and furthermore hosts small web-sites for unsigned bands along with people. The site carries a forum, news sections, downloads, links, charts, and so on. With all which i have asked all my friends and still we can’t find a name for your site. Hi everyone! I’m using a big problem… My own hosting company (http: //hiya-host. com) thought he would shut down which have no notice. I acquired a graphics/tutorials web-site and I previously worked so hard upon it! I uploaded all of my files in order to my host and today they shut lower and I did not download a stop-gap. I had that once on the computer, but I thought it turned out so huge, hence I deleted that. I tried range programs to restore the files, although no luck. Hence, I just wish to ask you folks, is there solution to get my data files back or could they be gone forever could try a yahoo cache. Have you contacted them to see why they does this Thanks with the reply! I tested out Google cache, but I can’t save the very files, like. zip and also. php files. Many people had a phone form on his or her website but MY SPOUSE AND I can’t access the idea, cos the site is down. Here’s how Used to do it: I didn’t that it when I learned I surfers might leave my site should they get that concept. When people obtain blank " 404" page and find themselves without any links or navigation var to support them make contact with your site it’s obvious which they’ll leave. So, basicaly what I did to design a page form of similar to my personal site’s site map one which contains all in the site’s information such as inbound links navigation var etc .. Why because whether or not your site is perfectly design and works just fine you can get a error page evntually; so I wanted to make sure that when people receive the error page they obtain page like the one I described earlier mentioned. Error pages are the consequence of misspelled url’s, in addition to links, there might be some other arguments, I am niot positive. So make sure you type a brief message like this: " We live sorry. The … Continue reading

Images versus site speed.
We have a question regarding images and site speed. What I am wondering about are these claims. Would it be better to stay my web site images of their " images" folder and chek out them from the root of my sector. Or, would it be better/faster only store them on a seperate hosting provider and chek out them there. Any input is prized. Many thanks, _____________________ web page design usa ecommerce website design Iowa More quickly to host these people yourself and employ Relative Path. Case in point, store all of one’s images in the directory called " images". Complete Path: < img src=" http: //www. mysite. com/images/mylogo. gif" /> Comparable Path: < img src=" images/mylogo. gif" /> Why would you think they would fill faster Unless ones running your server as part of your basement putting your images in the remote location is not advisable. You’d be adding another point connected with failure. If the remote computer repair server is offline you could have no images plus your website is crippled. Keep with the local /images folder on your server.

Index page
Next time i try find my site (http: //pltoneinjector. site11. com) along with Google, it would not find it. I’m sure a clue towards the problem is that once i type the full address in the address bar, it travels to an " Index" page first where you possibly can select from your pages. The " Index" web site doesn’t have just about any tags on that, and I do not know why it appears as opposed to the one I created when using the HTML file MY SPOUSE AND I made. How will i stop that from happening Could it be caused by the webhost service we chose It’s a no cost one. George Whatever page you should be your site, should be known as index. html. It looks like you have just one page called obrien135. web coding and that is renamed index. html if that’s your home internet page. #1. each hosting provider sets their web sites to list JUST ONE of several names as being the " main" web site for folders with their servers… some people inculde ( directory. html, index. htm, index. php ( in the event that supported ), index. asp, default. asp … Continue reading

Greetings all I host and buy domains for clients websites considerably. MY SPOUSE AND I wondered if any one could tell me any resources and also from experience, any company We can buy. com as well as. co. uk domain names from for a cheaper price The power to change nameservers might need to be there and also reliable. Thank you! Emma From personal experience in such a sector. I realize ‘most’ of the actual companes providing the least expensive domain names have complications and restrictions attached. In the end, I just opt for the company that may provide the greatest overal package, handle panel and service. If not, I’ve used 123 more often than not and doubt you’ll find domains much less costly elsewhere. If you are doing find something superior, especially if acquiring in bulk. Be sure you come … Continue reading
