Microsoft’s CSS Zen Garden Entry!
http: //blogs. msdn. com/ie/archive/2006/03/23/559409. aspx It’s abot that IE supported the following basic feature that everybody has supported for decades!! The ‘cool removal effects’, as if PNG alpha transparancy is definitely something new this IE7 is introducing into the world. I am and so greatful the IE gods have bestowed this kind of groundbreaking feature upon us. In event you cant explain to, I cant apparently get over which statement.. but i’m glad that PNG alpha transparancy is definitely finally supported yet again. Its good to discover IE7 finally also supports the best implmentation of set positiong, and allowes hovering on ALL aspects, not just backlinks. Yeah, I find it funny that they about made a design to signify off features in which IE 7 is actually finally adopting of which to everyone in addition is " old news"

im making a small blog
heya everyone, im making a blog that i’m going to update weekly i truly only want it to remain simple i’ve simply made this bit so far – blog. aesthetic-design. corp. uk obviously its lacking quite some images and is merely a very primary starting layout but im stuck regarding where to go after that, any advice could be appreciated! You’re likely to need to make use of a server-side language this sort of as PHP or perhaps Perl. Most likely a database such as MySQL. Subsequently, you’ll need to know how to program in the particular language you decide on. It will be a lot of work, but it appears like you want for making your own instead of using a no cost one like Wetpaint. Are you in search of advice as into the design or regarding the backend more inside design area All right. I can’t truly help much generally there, but I wanted to clear it ” up ” for others On the link you’ve submitted, I think the chief problem is this nothing lines upwards properly in Firefox. It appears as if the page was made solely for viewing in IE7 (where the particular layout … Continue reading

Still design with Internet Explorer 5/5.5 in mind?
I’ve noticed plenty of my sites look like pretty garbled upward when it’s seen using ie5/5. 5… Anything, else and they also all work fine. According to w3schools merely about 4% with poeple still employ ie5. http: //www. w3schools. com/browsers/browsers_stats. asp So… Do you design/code with ie5 as their intended purpose, or is the item a lost cause Many thanks! Nope. IE6 is actually my baseline, in the event I’m targetting IE (I usually am, though ) POST ignore it. IE WDF cell phone browser breakdown for August 2006 (although not necessarily truly representative of your general population because designers will use alternative surfers and AWstats grossly underrepresents many stats, including hits): wow, that copied terribly. Summary: IE 6TH, 40. 8%, IE SEVERAL, 3. 8%, all others less than 1%. Overall: IE 1 OUT OF 3. 2% and Firefox 38. 2% (! ). Additional notables: Safari A COUPLE OF. 4% and Opera A SINGLE. 1%. Netscape 4 less than 0. 01%… report. Konqueror only slightly more than NS4. I actually much like the Opera rendering motor… I just loathe the browser which surrounds it. In the months and many years, IE and Firefox were getting closer and also closer for … Continue reading

My Site works in IE7 but not in Firefox or Netscape
It works fine with Internet Explorer 6, but when it reaches the others (Firefox and Netscape) this doesn’t happen seem to respond at the same time. It will are inclined to freeze in place in Firefox and some of the banners (which usually are Flash Banners) won’t show whatsoever. I used The front Page 2003 to design it. Another person please help. Try getting your sites coding valid. http: //validator. w3. org Just put your site in and function with the code. thanks for all you help! How does someone know what doctype to utilize You should choose depending on how i code… POST remember this post on http: //www. alistapart. com with regards to doctypes. http: //www. alistapart. com/articles/doctype/ some of the first problems you will have in this scenario: code is not valid. (firefox is a great example of your need for valid, or at the least well-formed code) try utilizing a js script to produce flash load very last: adobe flash last load script: HTML: < script type=" text/javascript" > perform loadflash() document. getElementById(‘SOME_DIV’). innerHTML = " THE_FLASH_OBJECT_CODE" < /script> in one’s body tag include: HTML: < body onload=" loadflash()" > < /body> .

I have the additionally worlds on Linux, of their places, because I can install IEs SOME, 5. 5, SOME, and 7 in parallel to own on WINE: -P You can have both versions as separate applications. Problem with colour in IE
Okay, this is kind of a strange challenge, I think, and I have no idea what is leading to it. I created the logo in GIMP and I made the sides of the image (around the actual circular logo) a selected colour so may well match the qualifications colour. However, after i look at this specific in IE, the background and the edges of the image never match. It appears perfect in Firefox. The image colour Will be the same colour for the reason that background colour–they tend to be both set for you to #330847. You are able to look at it here: http: //www. esharpwebdesign. com/designs/kiki/kispirit/index. html Any help can be greatly appreciated!!! I did a bit more poking, and it appears like the colour is actually fine when saved as a gif, but the actual image itself appearance bad, especially the circle… Argh. You’ve encountered one of two major problems using PNGs in Net Explorer. Alpha blending (variable transparency) does not work properly in IE6. IE7 fixing this. The color gamut is wrong in all versions of IE, transparency or not. I believe IE will render the PNG a little bit darker than it it imagined to, … Continue reading
Brave or just dumb to not support IE6?
Howdy everyone, Given the fact IE7 has been recently with us for a variety of months now, would you consider it to be a brave move, or plain foolish to drop help support for IE6 once you create a innovative website My site shows that the majority still use IE6 but that is decreasing every day, and pretty soon IE7 will be the main browser. On the list of reasons I consult your opinion is that I’m redesigning my site. It’s XHTML as well as CSS, and can be standards compliant. Makes perfect in IE7, Opera, Firefox, Safari, Camino and any browser you can visualize. Except IE6. It would take plenty of effort to get rid of it for IE6. By using IE6’s user trust gradually dwindling, is it worth it Within your opinion, should webmasters still take the time and effort to make a site best with IE6 now it’s been superseded by IE7 Naturally, we don’t help to make sites still appropriate for IE3 anymore! So really the issue is, at what point should we cease supporting heritage browsers — which include IE6 Involved to hear a person’s thoughts Support IE6 right up until its usage declines to … Continue reading

new portfolio crit
just need a little crit on the final layout before we build more of the site. what does one like… and what does one not just about any opinions welcome http: //www. paulcurley. com/PORT2/index. php I’m keen it. It would not make me state " WOW! " but I do as if it. Nice, sparkling simple layout….. good us going for color. The sole thing that mixed up me was that Recent Projects I thought it turned out still loading (since this reveals to bottom out). Appearance good though. Only thing I will say is the actual Recent Projects (the " s" in projects) can be behind the border of the flash, so it looks slightly off…… bring this forward should fix that. None of the page are connected, so can’t declare anything there. So good, looks good….. sorry, only spent a few hrs on the site last night (design and dev) so it was only that page i obtained semi done. in terms of the ‘recent’ subject overlapping, i presume you looking at in something rather than FF once again i became rushing to obtain a bit of crit, wasn’t sure i became going down the proper route. do … Continue reading
