Menus display fine in Firefox but not in Internet Explorer – help please?

Hello all, I’m an overall total amateur at this and would really appreciate some assist. I’m attempting to customize a template i downloaded and have come across a problem. The menus for the top of that page work very good in Firefox nevertheless in Internet Explorer, they may be cut in one half! Heres the site I’m working in…. www. sledworks. net Its not as a result of my modifications or maybe the snow impact or anything….. the same problem was there when ?t had been a virgin format! Any help is appreciated as Make don’t understand how to fix this. We’ve Dreamweaver and here’s getting more knowledgeable about it as POST go along. Thanks a ton! I suspect that since there are a separate style linen fir IE6, IE7 and everything else… You’re seeing what you’re seeing within ie8 or ie9…… Possibilities look fine around ie7 If ie8 just isn’t called out specifically in the conditional statements… It should load the common sytlesheet… Create another conditional declaration for ie8… Plus load the ie7 stylesheet… See what goes on.

Does this look ok in IE?

Use a client saying her site looks almost all misaligned in IE 7/8/9. Then again I see that fine on almost all planes (tried IE 7/9, Firefox 4/5, Chrome 13). Had added people check them out, they all article it looks fine overall their browsers. So we’re possibly not entirely sure why the customer is seeing that incorrectly. The client notion maybe it had something related to his large display resolution (1440 a 900) but I’ve tried various resolutions and it continues to appear fine. I dont think that would lead on the way that he’s seeing it erroneous anyway. Was hoping some people here could possibly say if this looks ok as well as not in IE, so you can easliy get a bigger picture of the best way often/which browsers it isn’t really displaying correctly. Website link: http: //www. blackburnstest. com/bwf_test/ This is the screenshot the purchaser took of how he could be seeing it: http: //i. imgur. com/JtgC4. jpg Definitely doesnt look resolution-related. How deep into IE do you go?

We have noticed my javascript large site doesn’t insert on IE7 and is loads of FUBAR on IE6. Does anyone actually design for these anymore if I do must fix this… any kind of advise WE don’t anymore, no. As much as I had been okay with IE6 once, it’s had its run and today it’s done. http: //www. ie6countdown. com/ Programs to know is right there. Great. Thanks I’m keen on to keep this site looking generally right on IE7 and up. I say IE7 merely because I haven’t yet come across a page bursting on 7 which didn’t also crack in 8, which is still utilized just enough in the form of pain in the ass. I would, just today, have a design break around 9 that seemed fine in 6-8… unique. My suggestions in order to clients on wether to compliment a design to get IE6, 7, EIGHT etc. Check out your log files to view how your visitors are accessing your site, if you have got 1000 visitors per day and 10% of which are using IE6( or even whichever version ), are you ready to turn away 100 visitors Your log files may help you … Continue reading

Guess who doesn’t even code for IE6 anymore?

http: //media. crossbrowsertesting. com/users/26446/screenshots/full/z258993b000a500d7903. png of course a website that is promoting IE9 won’t support IE6, MS would would rather have a wipe out switch for IE6, They stopped safety measures updates for IE6 2 months ago as well as I bet should they could get away about it, they would just stop supporting ( planning around it ) ‘s together…. but in the event you visit any health of their MSDN, download or any of their tech sites many people load multiple sytles according to the browser a person visit with. Most Servers in advance of Server2008 had IE6 set up and since they are servers, admins rarely set up IE7 or IE8 on them because of the only time the online world was normally accessed from their store ( if in any respect ), was to visit MS sites for you to download patches and also or server improvements.. Every time they were pushing IE8, they did a similar thing… trying to visually enforce the requirement to update your browser. . I think Many men and women ignore IE6, even IE7! Umm… REALLY That are they marketing for you to, then IE8, IE7, in addition to yes… even … Continue reading

I design in IE & a little rant

The reason Because if it works in that , browser it works in all i also design over a PC. And why complete designers always produce stupid cartoon character images advisors selves like quite a few dictator posting images of these selves in many different places. And one a lot more thing, why would a client would like seeing an photograph of you Questions, Rant over.. Because doing so makes the internet site more engaging and also personal. Not every site this works in IE (and people didn’t specify which usually version, ) is fine the same way in all other browsers. We have one site this looks perfect throughout IE8, IE9, and all the other browsers, but breaks in IE7 for your reason I have yet to figure out. It matters not if you design over a PC or the MAC, in Microsoft windows, OS-Whatever, or Linux. What matters is the way the browsers read your code. Photos over a designer’s website actually do fulfill a new function. People like to check out a picture of who will have them working with. It helps to create a personal connection that familiar with occur in face-to-face meetings which is not … Continue reading

Quite simply, the left sidebar appears beyond place, as really does the spry menu bar. The web page looks fine throughout Safari, Chrome and Firefox, so I’m for a loss as to what the issue could be. Has anyone had this issue Is there a little something I’m missing Any help is treasured. IE 6 should display slightly different, but since anyone say both HUNTING FOR and 6 We’d tend to assume it’s part to do with the CSS code that is definitely specific to people browsers. ( there is a single statement for ie6 and ON THE LOOKOUT FOR ) Never quite viewed it done that way (in the CSS file), I always utilize conditional statements which are loaded in the head from the document ( following a CSS is packed ), to let the browser find out which statements to be able to process. Thanks in your reply. I see when I made this single statement (for IE SOME and 9) inside CSS file, … Continue reading
