CuteFTP to Log Files to Hard Drive
Hi- I’m having great difficulty trying to download the access-log and error-log files from the server to my disc drive. All I want to do is put them into their designated in folder about my computer so Allow me to monitor my internet sites stats using Analog Record Analyser. Whenever I try to download, either nothing you can do or CuteFTP asks me easily want to overwrite the leading index. html file (which should not have anything related to anything). When nothing happens- Cute seems like this: REPUTATION: > Downloading listing access-log… ORDER: > CWD access-log 550 access-log: Not a directory. FAULT: > Failed to help change dir ———————————————————————————- Shouldn’t I just be capable to dran n’ decline those log files onto my disc drive and run Analog Are log files hidden to start with on the hard drive Thanks for virtually any suggestions!

Contracts and Rates
Currently I am a college university student majoring in Web page design. I have started carrying out a couple freelance projects to the side. I am running in to the problem where I do the work and my clientele are dragging out doing this. Either its i always get the layout setup also it takes them forever to receive me the images or content. Or maybe, that I obtain their site executed, Im just waiting on them to buy a computer (because they demand to update it themselves) and obtain hosting and your domain. I used to be thinking that an agreement would help stay clear of these problems. Does anyone get any examples or know very well what I should include in one Also what would be reasonable pricing regulations to follow in Nebraska I understand some places fee $30 per an hour. I told affiliates that I carrying out a page for right this moment (Spirit Enterprise) i always would charge all of them $20, because right this moment Im just really wanting to create clientele and a portfolio. If you want to see my portfolio and to give me suggestions on what I should impose for rates: … Continue reading
Legal Forms for web designers
Now i’m fairly decent for the design aspect associated with things, here can be a link to a concept to get a yet to be mentioned site looking forward to approval. http: //www. rgworld. com/edwards_r/techno_simple. jpg http: //www. rgworld. com/edwards_r/techno_simple. jpg But I need to learn more about approaches to pretect myself, plus my work. Does anyone know of your site that has generic disclaimers or contracts which is applied to web-designers I’m sure I’ll increase a collection with " legal templates" with time, but could everyone point me to somewhat of a few useful internet sites I’m in THE BIG APPLE if that allows anyone regarding just what exactly legal documents would sign up for me. Thanks ahead! -Rob.

Different processing speeds
definitely, I’m making a new flash site (well, hoping to). However, it runs slow and also the animations are choppy once i view the swf report on my computer, a 450mhz (cringe). nonetheless on my brother’s laptop or computer, a 1. 8ghz, all runs smoothly. my question is: will there be any way to try the design for different processing speeds perhaps there is any special applications or sites many thanks You can always use something similar to VMware which can emulate a complete computer (naturally with a much slower speed than your special system). You should think about 3 factors throughout designing flash internet sites: : Higher frame fees will bog lower older computers which can’t process these folks well… Default rate is set to 12 FPS… I never go over TWENTY FOUR if I aren’t required to. : Essentially, how many pixels have you been changing in just about any given frame inside your animation If every pixel for the screen has for you to change, the processor needs to account for that will… if only 10% of the screen is adjusting in any granted frame, that’s 1/10th in the required processing. Also, if your web-site scales, it … Continue reading

An Idea For Securing your code
Hello everyone, I’m the latest guy here. Merely joined up this evening. I see that most of you are obtaining some real challenges keeping your internet sites secure. Just wished to make a idea. There is a script available identified as Code-Warden. It uses php along with your. htaccess file in your server to limit your code from being viewed simply by pesky thieves. http: //www. codewarden. com Transio, My organization is truly sorry to hear that you have been tricked. I checked out your website when I had been still lurking inside the forums, and I thought ?t had been FANTASTIC! There are ways to guard yourself, and make them at least slightly harder for those people *(& %# that think they’re so slick to grab you off. Granted nothing today is 100% risk-free. But trust me, I sent the code due to this to a good friend of mine, and he said for the effort that it took to hack the actual code, it might have been just as simple to design out of Scratch, lol! Unfortunately I have not yet found a totally free way to develop the identical effect that this kind of script has… but … Continue reading

Good sites to look at for ideas
Might some one post links to some well designed internet sites, its always nice to see what works. Preferably sites which are functional but good designed. As cool seeing that sites whit navs at the center are they arent increasingly functional cept for a protfolio. internet. webdesignforums. net internet. bbc. co. uk internet. oneandone. co. uk internet. cnn. com internet. staples. com Those certainly are a bit too functional but not quite what we were looking for. This website is designed actually and pits extremely nice looking but as im not setting up a forum based website it dosent assistance much. internet. webdesignforums. net So what are the site are you making Could be easier to advise examples if we all had some thought of what you were likely to build! Sean Ok im setting up a site covering present beta tests. It will likely be mostly comunity powered inialy but i would like to give it some content for your initial boost. Im plaing to have a section showing all the curent beta lab tests, overvewiews of the applictaion/games, and hopefuly reviews for your stuff beta examined after it released. web design job
I would like to make a website for someone as well as some company or perhaps community organization, just by my portfolio. Almost any Ideas Drop your nearest shopping, take business handmade cards of small local businesses/organisations and then look at their current internet websites – if every, then offer to set-up a new website for them for your small fee, and be very professional about this, of course… Search for area businesses etc on line and if you would imagine you can strengthen their site, e-mail them with a deal of some type. It will as well help having your special protfolio site on line so you can demonstrate to them what you can handle doing instead associated with just telling them you may. This will support your story and delay your chances of these saying yes. Maybe try advertising locally too, maybe a regional newspaper, or make posters etc. Every one of the above will be a whole lot better then doing practically nothing. Try asking buddys and parents when they know people who need a site regarding anything Hope this assists you to a little. Best of luck, Daniel Oliver. If it’s for ones portfolio, keep in … Continue reading
Whats best, CSS or a Photoshop site
Ive recognized people using photoshop as a method for developing internet sites, some even charging. What do you consider is best any Graphically filled web-site with little coding or an incredibly complex code but the result is some sort of layed back design What would you think Having done a bit of both, I’d complement the latter. Style may attract inside the short run, but content sells guarantees. It’s more search-engine pleasant and people often respond to them better. decided Then why managed you ask Simply to argue with any person who disagreed Neither of them is preferable. You may not want ridiculously difficult code nor a new heavily graphically-designed web site. Honestly I’m sure it totally is determined by the focus from the site. something such as The day immediately after tomorrow has no requirement SEO or if anyone is to view subject material. It’s just a site that should look cool to help brand the motion picture name into clients’ heads. It should be cool, that’s just about all. However, something like An inventory Apart has very little need for design, relies on SEO and people being qualified to read content. Likewise, do not think that the number … Continue reading
