Dreamweaver may be for editing code (text), this can’t do anything with graphics apart from insert them making use of HTML syntax. What program did you have to create that layout If it absolutely was Photoshop, you really need to slice it ” up ” first, and then visit File > Help you save for Web. There are series on slicing layouts in photoshop on the internet, and I believe there’s one in WDF’s series section.

custom scrollbars

really does anybody know haw to produce a scrollbar like considered one of these http: //www. useit. com/alertbox/20050711_scrollbars_good. jpg coming from http: //www. useit. com/alertbox/20050711. code bless you. http: //www. webdevelopersnotes. com/tips/html/colored_custom_scrollbar_tutorial. php3 Custom scrollbars are mostly an IE point… but give the item a try. Custom scrollbar an IE idea You is capable of doing it through Javascript plus Flash, but when somebody does in which, they make a great crappy bar will not often support dragging from the trackbar. And naturally, your mouse steering wheel won’t work. Consequently, just use this default scroll standard. If you mean make scrolling container in just a page (don’t achieve that either), that is an iframe and also a div styled which includes a scrollable overflow.

Putting together a site

Okay, im making a site with all chopped up peices. Im gonna make an effort to do it with a table so a long way it isnt going to great, too many spaces and they’re not coming close more than enough. Whats another route to do it instant messaging gonna code this in PHP. As you’re asked.. Let me be frank next time i say how you might be approching building this web site is sorta out dated. Even though reducing up an graphic and reassembling these people using tables will a lot more than likley work, generally is a technique that starting point designers use because it is the easist concept to grab. It is hardly ideal originating from a usability standpoint, and really offeres little in the manner of SEO in addition to numerous other benifits. Rather I’d personally encourage you to utilize valid markup(at very least no table centered layouts) and CSS to format anything else. If you could provide a link or some form of example of what your working together with we can probably make it easier to better see just what im babbling concerning. http: //www. jw1re. com/portfolio/radioxcast. jpg Type coding should my spouse … Continue reading

Navbar and other help

I am just recently breaking into web site design, and I ended up being wondering if this is halfway decent. Here’s a chek out a screenshot from the website in question: http: //img444. imageshack. us/img444/6079/sitetype1gf2. jpg About my navbar, I’ve set everthing on an external stylesheet to We can easily maintain a theme in the site. At present Relating to two line breaks involving each link inside code for the particular site, because I don’t know how to code it within css (if you know how, please tell me, that will be great). I must set a width with the hover so that i could put a new non-opaque background with it, but since doing this it now pushes every one of my links down whenever I hover over one. Could someone explain to me what I want to add or remove to fix this problem And here is the code WE used: #links boundary: 4px outset rgb(196, 195, 221); size: 110px; height: 375px; background-image: url(linkbg. jpg); drift: right; text-align: facility; #links place: absolute; top rated: 197px; still left: 15px; #links a colour: green; font-family: arial; foam: 0px; text-decoration: it’s unlikely that any; #links any: link text-decoration: it’s unlikely that … Continue reading

target the wrong directory???

I have targeted the drastically wrong directory for the images. For example, my domain can be chueh. com. I uploaded all of the images under chueh. com. All of them show up which have no problems. Let’s employ house. jpg as one of many pictures. I loaded house. jpg for a second time under " living" subdirectory (chueh. com/living/house. jpg)………….. Here comes the challenge.. WHEN I tried both img src=" www. chueh. com/living/house. jpg" and also img src=" house hold. jpg" as code within the page. Neither advisors works…… I could upload all of the images again under the subdirectory " dwelling, " and img src=" house hold. jpg" will absolutely work. However, not simply does it good stupid and repetitive, but also takes in extra spcae. What will i solve the problem Thanks Take a look at the source of your page src=" living/house. jpg" need to work. Thanks very much.

How big is to big for a back ground image?

I used to be just wondering exactly what everyone though about sizes for foundation images. What is a good size for them and what exactly is to big Relating to all ways heard that as long at they are usually under a meg then they work effectively but I realize that a meg can be to big. With regard to download size… under 40k if it is going to be an integral part of your design (e. gary the gadget guy. a frame or border on your site). But in the event that it’s just the ambient background image, I would visit as big since 200k. A megabites is ridiculous. Aim to have the most basic background image likely.. if its up and down repeated eg get 800×1, if its orizontail tumble 1×100 and also try to use transarency and also table colors in making them smaller ANY background image should not even be near 1Mb. The background picture should be no more than you can ensure it is. You can start using a gif format together with indexed colors that will control the size from the image. PNGs tend to do better when compared with GIFs for great BG … Continue reading

Can You Be A Web Designer? (Joke)

http: //dev. ungus. com/web_designer_flowchart. jpg Ungus amusing… I’d guess that only 1% people are Mac users though. We’ve never used a Mac myself. Design and Improvement are two many different things. Along with only 0. 5% of people probably bought Photoshop. It’s price is definitely nothing compared to many of the prototyping/wireframing apps available. iRise for immediate, the Pro variant is $6, 995 each seat. It’s a fantastic app, but also a fantastic down payment to get a nice house.
