how to post editable Excel sheet
Greetings all, we are working on intranet and i would like to upload the excel sheet for the intranet, but am i allowed to make the several users open as well as edit it next those changes saved so that when another user open the file he see last changes.. You will want a Document Supervision System if multiple people are going to be working on a similar file. The reason is if two everyone is working on your file simultaneously it will eventually cause problems and also the files will have to be merged. There are various of pre-packaged techniques like Microsoft SourceSafe (probably the most effective known) that allow documents being checked-out like some sort of library book so only one particular person can modify a document in the given time. You can also get web-based document administration systems. I recognize MS has you, but it’s super-expensive (like $20k USD). You might probably emulate much of the functionality of the DMS using PHP, but it could be a pretty involved project. You may want to look around with regard to existing open-source DMS assignments using PHP. PS – That easy way to accomplish this would be to work … Continue reading

need help on creating a bar that adjusts to user’s resolution
I am trying to develop a bar across the top of my web page that adjusts for the resolution of that user’s screen so that whatever resolution the customer has the bar spans across the screen. If someone could possibly give me some cheap do this that could be great. Many thanks What would that bar contain Would it you need to be one plain color or would the item have an image in The bar is a shape of a wave which has a red/white diagonal gradient. If the bar repeats itself arfter a period, then you might cut the image to that width and then are repeat as the background to somewhat of a cell or a new div. What regarded as a do If the bar won’t repeat itself. I am very new from this. I want to buy to do a similar thing that ‘microsoft’. com’s top bars do. If you modify the resolution on your screen that adjusts while the rest looks to always be set for 800 x 600 pixels. I am using Dreamweaver and various Macromedia programs that will put the site mutually. Well, if one side in the image is yet colour, … Continue reading

Using .net environment for creating a website?
Need to start working using a website for Alumnus on the school. The challenge entails that A SINGLE. it should often be a dynamic site that takes inputs from users and demonstrates their input, 3. Should be created from a. net environment. I have not done this before rather than used the. net sale environment much. So if i DESIGN in Dreamweaver, when does the. net environment paly an important part in this website all things considered the pages are created. WHEN I assume the. net environment pre-requisitive suggests which they want more than a Dreamweaver site… Improved get reading, if i were you…. including J2EE,. NET can be a vast subject… I assume the varsity requires some form of dynamic content/database access Sean Indeed! Since the database certainly will not grow too swiftly, as not many students are graduating from your Universities computer knowledge department, they wish to use access. It are going to be duynamic content. So where should i start ASP,,,,. net sale Dreamweaver MX2004 encourages. Net with just about all (I think) of the stanard ASP. Net sale controls available (and some others addable by making tags). Database having access to SQL Server is integrated, but … Continue reading
Site Redesign Mockup – Round 3
Well it’s returning, my attempt at wanting to redesign my website; part twois. online world. fmdstudios. com/Redesigns/index. asp Often be Gentle. Might we ever often be anything but gentle The design iself is wonderful, but the blockiness and size in the body text is actually what really places me off. I’m also not thinking about the header tags you have to be honest, perhaps lowering the actual font size general, and adding spaces towards your headers would enhance it, Sure, I see exactly what you mean; the text may be a little block, I’m unsure why I decided Geneva tbh C Verdana may possibly be better WE suppose. As for that headers I plan to get rid of the Trebuchet MICROSOFT and replace it using a much more elegant TypeFace. Thanks for that feedback justlivyalife I’ve attached a number of images showing conjunction problems… For anyone who is customizing the W3C switches yourself, consider using a bitmap font as well as a cleaer choice, becasue it’s challenging to read. Everyone idealy need far more white space all around left-side content obstruct, it’s too bunched togeather. The leading header image (green one) looks some what dull & corny. Unless you place … Continue reading

Some more hard proof of web standards
These are some intense figures here… I urge all of you to read the whole Microsoft redesign though, it’s an exceptional article and illustrates, once again, exactly how designing with website standards has zero room for question of its benifits. Although that would have been a tremondous amount involving savings, it isn’t like if they use a lot of bandwidth global warming will increse plus all fossil fules might be depleted. I really dont think MS even flinches at the quality of bandwidth they apply. But I sooo want to see such a substantial company adhear for you to standards. That would defenatly assistance with the web requirements movement. Probably not microsoft with particlar, but alternative sites… especially media sites that succeed on ad revenue to power its web servers may possibly adopt these strategies. Additionally… remember, that’s bandwidth savings for the. One single web site. Given they adopt this to their entire network put on potentially cut down their datacenter by countless servers. That would revisit in power, crews, and maintainence and definately save an amazing amount. Really, ESPN’s head wordpress website designer commented in a recent review that some people trimmed down his or her pages’ sizes by … Continue reading

W3C validation
I became wondering how the majority of you make in force W3C websites. I did a search by using yahoo for internet site design and I cecked the initial 10 companies detailed and none of these are W3C legitimate. How important it really is that the web pages you create are usually W3C valid All my sites comform towards the W3C specifications. I think it is significant more people start designing their web sites with web standards. Although I do not believe that it is vital that that they " vailidate" for the W3C validator. When you have attempted to get near it then sometimes that could be well enough. The validator is merely to check as a result of your work. It doesn’t detect everything. If your webblog validates it doesn’t mean your site conforms to the online standrds. For example We’ve designed a internet site with tables to support present the system, something which may be known as a big no no in lots of web standard advocate’s eye balls, and still got it to confirm. You are advised not to do so having tables and use then only for tabular data. People not prepared change from utilizing … Continue reading
