iFrames and the Curse of the Scrollbars

I have a problem exactly where every iFrame with a scrollbar has to get one going flat. Is there any way I can fix this Thanks Have people tried scrolling=" no" Chris. Then there will be no up and down scrollbar. If you display me the program code I’ll be happy to check this stuff out for you. Do this: overflow-x: concealed; overflow-y: scroll; or < model type=" text/css" > overflow-x: concealed; overflow-y: scroll; < /style> with your main file. You could possibly get clipped content material though. That’s a good option. I think that will work. Allow me to know how you have on! Always good to acquire feedback. Hmm… I didn’t even need to do that and they will disappeared…

how is this done?

this buddy wants his homepage to look something like this specific… online world. ghost-dancer. com He / she mainly wants the actual pictures and copy boxes right in place fornt. How may i do this throughout DreamWeaver CS3 I’ve done a few sites, but almost all HTML and CSS, not any java, php, and so forth experience. Thanks Which effect thinking of going for here It seems as if a normal dash page (not really the best idea), and a (not-so-usable) one-page web site. what he wants may be the individual boxes using individual scroll night clubs. It seems to my advice divs should job, but i cant figureout how you can do the scroll pubs. I hate the actual page layout in the process, but i get his idea. You decide to do scrollbars by building the containing DIV have a height and overflow: scroll in CSS.

Webvention LLC – re: onMouseOver and rollover menus

I apologize if someone provides already posted specifics of this – I did search first prior to posting and would not find anything. Anyway – At your workplace today I appeared to be told to modify a roll more than function on our web site because we obtained a letter by Webvention LLC claiming i was infringing on the patient. Apparently the theory for roll about menu’s was patented instruction online the early nineties, and so if you want to use a move over menu on your site – you will need to pay a license fee. Who else thinks that is outrageous Here’s a link discussing the issue: Javascript/CSS rollover selections are patented and susceptible to licensing – Heap Overflow This type of thing should be all over the major news networks – the freakin patent office web site is in violation!! Webvention LLC maintain Google and Apple have paid any licence fee – if that’s the case, shame on these individuals. Has one else read anything relating to this : devious: I’ve never aware of this, but the actual discussion on Heap Overflow has mentioned the public domain apply on 10-05-2010. Putting a scroll bar WITHIN the site

Is there an easy way of putting some sort of scroll bar inside a section of your site to enable you to have 2 copy: still left column = fixed length image right column = scroll bar to let for text being longer versus the image Employing CSS, define the dimensions of one’s < div> locations, and use: flood: auto; That will instantly display a scroll icon if it want to really standout one. I really recommend you find methods to display your content without scrollbar(s), but I realize in most cases, that’s not likely. Any time anyone add navigation that will makes people perform harder (like scrollbars), you will discover that users wouldn’t use them… they’ll most probably just leave your page. I know this could sound condescending, nonetheless assume every person is lazy. Design your web page so users need not think about whatever. Scrollbars require thinking and skill. Many thanks mlseim – WHEN I hadn’t realised it turned out that easy. Essentially, I probably consider your comments about scroll bars – specifically for long pages. Nonetheless, I’m about to complete a site the location where the customer wants to get minimal info plus a very clean layout … Continue reading
