Display?
Hi there All. For your last 3 : 4 years I have been designing, expanding and maintaining a website for a Manchester based record label. About seven days ago I purchased a new Nvidia Geforce 5950 250mb video clip card for our system. I get always used ATI products and solutions and had not any problems, however, the Geforce was plenty. These days, since I have installed the unit card, the website use has developed a few strange characteristics; This page background coloration, which is the dotted dark glowing blue. Seems to be displaying a problem associated with filming known as vingetting. The majority of you will discover this effect while somebody being filmed for any T. V. interview incorporates a stripy shirt on and the resulting image is usually distorted. After I found this issue, I spent the remainder of this day concerned that with the last few years. All Nvidia viewers on the site had thought of this unpleasantness into the extent that many might have turned away on the website altogether! And so, I sat because of think of a way to resolve this challenge. Planning on modifying the problematic color under consideration to one that has … Continue reading

Need help with pricing please
Hi everyone, My business is contracted to produce 5 independent, different internet pages for a non-public company. I need some advice about the pricing from most of the experienced developers these please. Each site may have professional HTML appears, multiple pages. Graphics design are going to be handled by myself. Content is up to them. I are going to be required to employ Dreamweaver templates for post-maintainance through the company. There are going to be nothing more intricate that simple CODE, CSS, JavaScript, and also graphics. About how much should I price due to the entirety Thanks sincerely in move forward. My thoughts and opinions: You could have probably 8-10 time of work generally there. As soon as you get the main page CSS created, the other pages shall be easier. But the truth is have the graphics to do… and you do not have any contact forms (server-side scripting) I’d personally say $300. 00 1/2 in the beginning, the remainder later on. Formulate a contract that explains exactly what you listed inside your post. Yes details, and set a period when the package expires (like SOME months)… they would have your services for Six months for fixes, variations, and … Continue reading
Dynamic vs Static
Hi there all, I’m rebuilding my website i always primarily use with regard to sharing photos with relatives and buddies. I’ve notice a lot of the really cool searching Dynamic Flash gallery templates out there. I like the way in which they interact to be able to mouse clicks as well as fade photos in and out together with different effects. WE notice, however, that web sites can take a time to initially load ; however , they are very quick when moving from photo to image. My question is this, Do these forms of websites load most of their content for the memory of the browsing computer before browsing begins And also are photos and also such downloaded since you brows My website could have several hundred pics on it as well as would take permanently to load if it had to completely load in someones system before put on start using them. With thanks Usually they’ll insert the interface and something photo, and load the remainder while you look at them. I think, at present, it’s better to have a more traditional HTML/CSS based gallery (no interface needed), and work with Javascript for outcomes – mainly Lightbox. Are … Continue reading

sIFR – FINALLY All Fonts Available on the Web!
Check this out: http: //www. mikeindustries. com/blog/sifr/ All these guys are nothing at all short of great. They created the Flash + Javascript component that takes virtually any HTML document and replaces < h*> elements that has a Flash object with the same size comprising rich, beautiful text. What what this means is to us, as designers, is that individuals can design websites that use virtually any FONTS WE NEED, without having to produce images for all of them. Better yet, these pages will be 100% accessible, with sIFR fonts displayed to virtually all web users, plus the remainder simply seeing the default CSS-specified net fonts. HOW COOL IS THIS!! I’m gonna make the first sIFR page tomorrow!: -D All right, I just tested out it out…. really freakin sweet!!! Usually there are some little annoyances distinct to Flash (e. h. can’t copy that sIFR’ed chunks regarding text with the rest of the body), but that’s acceptable. I’ve seen this just before, a couple of prohibited… There was something about it that has been not good (but MY SPOUSE AND I can’t remember). I’ll should re-visit it again. I had never been aware of anything like that, but obviously they … Continue reading
