Making Web Pages load faster?

One page on our site contains a comprehensive amount of word. How can WHEN I format my code so that the page loads faster And may I do the identical with images You can decrease the dimensions of images with a higher compression quote, but this means lower quality. As for text, you can’t help it become any smaller. Im confused if I understand what precisely you mean, could you post a connection to said page please, so I will take a ganders average joe. You have a couple of options in ones situatuion: – Look into stuff like mod_gzip to get apache or gzip compression setting through php. – Split the actual page into 2 or 3 logical sections. – If you work with tables, make sure that your tables are accordingly nested, etc. Incorrect tables can dramatically add to the load time. and so forth. Also look into using CSS to help format your textual content. W3Schools is an excellent place to discover CSS. Or if you be insane, write a viewer for instance Deviantart. com accustomed to have – along with transfer only that essentials If you ever slice your photographs the page will load faster as … Continue reading

How to base a presentation round this image

Me along with a friend are make presentation about horror movies being a school project. This really is of course enjoyment and all that, but unfortunately, we don’t know much about style. The current plan could be to have the presentation take advantage of this picture as the background. We’d like to keep a consistent feeling how the presentation is something from your good old times of horror — worn, grainy, yellowish and stuff like that, you know I am aware of that it’s pretty tricky to produce something look professional having a dark background, what I’m wondering are these claims: What colors could well be good for textual content Where should we squeeze nav-bar, and should the idea be a horisontal or maybe a vertical one should we keep it separate through the pages by adding a border to both of them Know make available trick to help make stylish and worn out buttons In general though, I pretty much only want to know what we ought to avoid so the whole thing doesn’t resemble, well, crap. A thousand thanks before hand! I’d make a light background to place dark text about, it just form of helps I believe. … Continue reading

Looking for a tool to draw pages layout.

Howdy. I’m currently organizing documents that summarize proposed layouts involving some intranet pages in the company. I’m basically creating tables throughout OpenOffice Writer along with manually draw links, text fields, hyperlinks etc. in people tables. Because of this I get basic and clear sketch of each page’s layout. But this technique is quite inefficient and I appeared to be wandering if there are actually any simple resources that help developing such layouts. Just an application that would ok , i’ll to create (or actually drag)buttons, checkboxes, textual content fields, etc. over a blank page and maybe exercise . comment to each one element. Then I could save the styles and put them in a very document so that someone else could actually make those pages based on my project. Has any regarding You guys got word of an application that permits doing those points (I’m not discussing WYSIWYG creation gear – just something to make layout projects). I would very much recognize the value of any recommendations. Basically you should do a EXTREMELY basic wireframe primary. Just simple monochrome boxes in your flowchart manner this tells the coder where pages will probably go when clicked, for example. On a Apple, … Continue reading

Help with first web site

It is my first website, and I desire some critique in it. Overall, I’m pretty proud of the overall format, but it simply seems too empty or plain and also something. Granted, I need to keep the idea generally simple, but a bit more liveliness would become nice. http: //recursiveloop. t35. com/div2. html REVISE: THIS IS NOT YOUR WEBSITE ANYMORE. THE LATEST ONE IS AVAILABLE THROUGH A LINK BELOW. Gives thanks! I’ve never been a admirer of black background objects and light textual content. It’s incredibly easier to read black text over a white background. The particular " colors" will set the mood for your site. Since anyone have simply no content (other as compared with Typesetter’s alignment text) it’s hard to determine if black is effective or not. The particular " music" link brings up a massive ad banner (in white)… looks really bad in your black background. It’s exactly about content Okay, here’s the light version: http: //recursiveloop. t35. com/div3-white. html This looks fine very, and I truly think it fits more considering the mood I’m deciding on… but when it is white it has even less effects than it currently did. REVISE: there will occasionally be an … Continue reading

DWMX help please

Good day all, is there any way connected with manipulating the spacing among lines for career fields in repeat zones I’d like to close the grounds up because right now they are too much apart for this liking. Thanks ahead of time, Mitch…. Repeat regions, like throughout an image or maybe lines of text Photo: I believe html/DW on auto-pilot puts the repeat image next to the next so that it is even. Therefore I’d be inclined to be sure the image itself might not have a border. Copy: format the primary. Generally, the icon is actually one letter over another with the line between, arrow pointing to the line. The value is within pixels, so if you’d like less space among the lines, it ought to be less than the scale of your font. Lastly, you said the issue is in DWMX, is that while looking along at the design, or actually from the browser Sometimes the theory rendered in DW is different from the code, so go forward and F12. Reply your question Yup, its the text itself. I am sorry, when I claim DWMX I supposed thats how POST created the strong text. The preview as well … Continue reading

Content boxes.

Hi there everyone, looking at redesigning entry page on this site and POST quite like the thought of having the left side of the page ‘sectioned off’ having those nice metallic borders/squares that most sites are using right now ( ex http: //www. good-tutorials. com/track/7870). They look good and having looked around there are many photoshop tutorials to work with you in creating these but surely performing it this way limts you from the content that is displayed on top of that square/image section Supposing We have a square that may be say 100 pixels across by 300 down along with the content displayed on this can be a list of website links dynamically drawn originating from a database… it may store say 8 wrinkles of text but when you add another 5 links this textual content will continue over bottom of this square and ruin complete look. I suspect that this square is certainly a window that will another html or even asp page that may be displayed however page and so expands once the content grows larger. Is this correct so it was’nt mentioned inside tutorials i’ve looked up in case so on the web go about carrying … Continue reading

Another pricing question

Good day All, Relating to done a search for this but am still undecided. I am adding to a current site 6 new pages. There is a total of 69 different images (each needed hardly any editing), the total word count is around 3, 400 and 4 from the pages have similar layout. Could anyone allow me a ballpark on what I should demand (in CAD if possible)or at the least let me realize the currency you’re talking. Thank you All depends upon many factors, the question’s a bit too vague. For example: ONE. Did you create the site ONLY TWO. How long will certainly it take to complet the responsibilities mentioned THREE. With the textual content, is it any copy and composite job SEVERAL. Is your buyer a multi-millionaire Products questions, but you obtain the idea. You might always set oneself an hourly rate and obtain a rough idea after that. Could possibly be an idea to ignore one more question though Anticipation this helps Relatively charge an hourly charge, at least in case theres any additional changes the fact that client asks with regard to midway through, it is possible to easily adjust, and both of you can … Continue reading
