Convert templates into JPEG thumbnails
I have a handful of web site web themes saved as html files (index. htm) that we want to make thumbnails away from. How can I do doing this Thanks Vic I think the most effective way is to open in inside a browser, and then receive a screen shot of the current window (Alt + Offline Screen button), and then showing it to theme in your preferred image editing application. yeah that’s what I have been doing, thought there is likely to be a quicker technique. Thanks a lot IMHO, If necessary good size regarding thumbnails is 160 pixels large. That way ones image thumbnails will be easily recognizable. A quick way should be to write a script of which takes screen captures and outputs cropped/resized photographs. That is a huge time waster in order to write though. Thus, I recommend sticking to the traditional methods of getting thumbnails. There are programs that have screenshots automaticly plus save them. You can crop the area on the screen you should capture. Try looking on the search engines for " display screen capture"

Looking for a tool to draw pages layout.
Howdy. I’m currently organizing documents that summarize proposed layouts involving some intranet pages in the company. I’m basically creating tables throughout OpenOffice Writer along with manually draw links, text fields, hyperlinks etc. in people tables. Because of this I get basic and clear sketch of each page’s layout. But this technique is quite inefficient and I appeared to be wandering if there are actually any simple resources that help developing such layouts. Just an application that would ok , i’ll to create (or actually drag)buttons, checkboxes, textual content fields, etc. over a blank page and maybe exercise . comment to each one element. Then I could save the styles and put them in a very document so that someone else could actually make those pages based on my project. Has any regarding You guys got word of an application that permits doing those points (I’m not discussing WYSIWYG creation gear – just something to make layout projects). I would very much recognize the value of any recommendations. Basically you should do a EXTREMELY basic wireframe primary. Just simple monochrome boxes in your flowchart manner this tells the coder where pages will probably go when clicked, for example. On a Apple, … Continue reading

I want to set up an online store. I have been taking a look at the templatemonster ‘online store’ web themes. I; ve tried this live chat guide thing but you can find never anyone presently there Can anyone tell me only need a superior html editor for instance dreamweaver, golive in addition to frontpage Can I use everthing else apart from these people Also when it pronounces a requirement is definitely photoshop7, will HALF A DOZEN be ok I expect your replies and learning a great deal from here! Sharkbait! You’ve answered most of your own doubts. Most live shows on sites like Template Monster usually are either defunct or even never worked to begin with……….. so you can’t bank on these people for answers. The many programs that an individual mentioned are great programs with at WYSIWYG format. Dreamweaver is essentially the most versatile out with the 3 you stated. Frontpage writes " unclean code" so there are a few browser and signal issues. Choose Live, … Continue reading
Sitebuilder, CMS, OR Purchase a template?
My business is rather new in order to designing, but I learn how to program in HTML plus some Javascript… however, simply no nothing of expensive, and other complexities of the website. If i want to produce a page for the client (this particular one is a " area yokel", kinda simliar with a lawn mowing employment, but on a computer) Anyway, getting started I got wondering which is best. Utilizing " Sitebuilder SEVEN. 0" which is hosted on one of many hosting sites With a Content Mgt Technique, like Php Nuke as well as Post Nuke OR, just purchasing a webtemplate It is pretty nifty of which Site Studio SEVEN. 0 has some sort of " flash" cartoon already there. http: //www. hostgator. com/sitestudio. shtml But My business is wondering which alternatives are better. CMS My business is more famliar with though. Seems to me that in order them to update the website themselves, you’ll be chosing two of those. You’ll need a layout, so you can either make the item or purchase them. Then you require a CMS for you to encorporate into them. You can’t adequately have one with no other. If you just want any static … Continue reading

Hair and Beauty Salon Website.
Appropriate, Me and a friend definitely will shortly begin focus on a site for that salon my GF functions at. It’s a Very modern and advanced place, but at the present time it has no web property. It will be litterally a niche site that gives information on: Opening times Prices Services " In relation to us" links There is no current requirement of anything like on the web appointment booking or even anything special of that ranking. Any Ideas on type layout would best suit such a site. I’ve been investigating other sites and considering the styles of layout used presently there. One I’ve beel searching most closely at will be the website of some sort of photographer called Adam Polselli. http: //www. adampolselli. com/ I do think this site incorporates a really modern, fresh feel to it that is going to be just upon look that might suit the salon’s image. Obviously I aren’t able to just blatantly message his layout but what does one think as a place As having most sites, i’d suggest you retain the dimensions on the site visible regularly, without the have to scroll when the particular browser is maximised. In keeping with … Continue reading

what are some tips for integrating an already completed website
which has a CMS My client prefers me to change coursesmart into a CMS and I’m taking a look at Drupal, Mambo, Joomla, and various CMS (including your free open source ones). My knowledge of PHP is kind of limited, but seems like that these prime CMS suites can make it easier. Is there much exact learning curve, though Thanks. So that they can pratice the CMS I’m planning to use my own ftp server besides the clients, so there won’t be any disruption on theirs. A few of these CMS systems is often rather complicated. I think the option rests on what the website owner requires the procedure for (and the actual intended scale). Should they need all the features of an all-singing all-dancing CMS then sure go for one like Joomla, but if all needed is to edit the text of several pages occassionally using a web-based interface, then a incredibly easier solutions such as the free CMS Editpoint might help things. Wordpress is often a blogging cms, but its really easy to edit and use you can make a website from it. Just a expertise in css and slightly php is all you need. http: //www. squidoo. … Continue reading
