Hi, just a rapid one, and probably a fairly easy one… In dreamweaver i have a page where the main table is usually centrally aligned (so always moves for the centre of the browser page) but I can’t acquire my layer with text to advance to the centre by it. It seems being locked in that position I catch the attention of it. The layer stays where it is and the stand just moves all around underneith it while you scale the browser page. How should i get the layer to keep/lock it’s co-ordinates with the table: nervous:
Are there the text aligned therefore it is in the center for it
that had been quick… thanks! The text is usually justified left for the layer. I just tried using to centre the text nevertheless it just centres along with doesn’t help the actual layer move when using the centred table.
Hence therefore I didnt clear up your problem: ermm: Im rather than sure, maybe if you could take the screenshot and post it as a possible attachment, it would seriously help me determine what the problem is: classic:
Thanks for your help, I might explain it much more simply.
if you…
open a new html page within dreamweaver mx and also draw a kitchen table,
align it into the centre (so the idea moves with to the centre when people scale the web browser page),
draw a layer over it (type some text) and try to get at move to the centre with the table in preview.
it is very much locked where POST drew it. Can it happen at your end way too
Ok, let me test it out.
It works with luck, here’s the computer code it outputted. Enter it in your Dreamweaver and see what happens.

… forgot to state to you, I’m really green on the subject of code.: ermm:
It let me move the layer around.. hmmm
I really could get it to center by switching it around, but I couldn’t see a valign option with the layer.
… what exactly the what was I doing wrong…: nervous:
So if you preview it and scale the dimensions of the browser page and so the table moves all over keeping a middle poition, the layer connected with text is active with it Cos in my end it truly is fully locked to be able to an x plus y position as well as table just slides from under it after i change the brower page size….
Hilarious, when I try to preview it, It tries to throw open a. php extension.
I assume I’d better move have some lunchtime…….
what version of dreamweaver have you been using and what browser
Hope it is not a macintosh matter…
I recently can’t get the particular layer lock for the table’s alignment
Thanks for your help anyway!!
Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, this previews in IE6
… hmm Now i’m on mac along with only has IE A FEW. 2. I’m uncertain if 6 is otherwise engaged for mac nonetheless.
I dunno what is the problem. stumped! Gives thanks anyway!!
Sorry which i couldn’t help people man. It sucks with luck when I do not help someone within need! I’ll continue to play around by it and if I tumble to work, I will let ya recognize!
Your problem is brought on by Dreamweaver’s feeble attempts at looking to implement CSS placing. All a stratum is,
