1st Site and I need some advise…

Hi all,
Well I have finally started my first page using photoshop for that layout. I was wondering how I can turn the text I’ve into a hyperlink Or only am doing that wrong can another person tell me the way to do it. My business is not asking for this to be evaluated on how very good (or rather how bad) it can be, just some strategies. This is just a personal page for family to see pictures and for me to tinker by using. You can perspective it at:

Well…

This are going to be an adventure for you personally.

It’s good to begin somewhere, but here’s where you will go…

1) Your site will never be one big photograph, but a bunch of smaller images.
Cut into sections making use of CSS (Cascade Fashion Sheets)… which may be a
tool for HTML (CSS must be used for layout and also positioning).

2) You will learn HTML, CSS and get tutorials and examples on the internet.

3) For you to answer your issue, your buttons are going to be one blank graphic with no
word on them. Then you definitely use CSS in order to display the buttons and squeeze text
above each button… the particular text becomes this link.

See this working model:

Like with any website, you are able to view the HTML source-code by clicking the
" View" link with the top of your own browser, mouse because of " HTML Source",
or whatever it is with your web browser. View the CODE on my case in point.

4) It will be a learning adventure so you might re-do everything you could have done.
Making sections and laying them out so you can add proper word content and
shots / galleries. Enjoy and visit us all for answers for you to problems you come across.

An entire HTML/CSS tutorial is definitely beyond the scope on this forum, but we could happy to
give hints and suggestions while you ask. Welcome for the forum, by the way…

.

This site just might help you

Hi again all,

Ok well I will be now in the act of learning HTML PAGE and CSS but till My organization is good at we am still gonna be making this personal website by using Dreamweaver. Can someone please ok , i’ll know if there is a way that can put text (for the link) with the buttons on my page making sure that when you put your cursor on the text it changes color Almost like mlseim did above in the following paragraphs. If I develop flash text throughout Dreamweaver the position is off among Internet Explorer and Firefox. Maybe someone knows of your tutorial that can easily explain it to my opinion. Here’s a url to my page once more.

You suggest a roll about button

Here’s the best tutorial about how you can do it together with CSS

The key in this tutorial usually buttons are qualifications images. You then develop html link..

< a new href=" link" > It is a button< /a>

This will give you the text onto your button. Yes it a proceed

Bob…

Problems you’re going to manage right away…

Your website must be several images, not simply one big impression.

You will have the header/banner part,
your buttons, which are you image repeated surrounding the screen.
And the content section.

Every one of these sections are positioned along with your CSS style page.

Individuals images will most be background shots, so you can certainly position your
text and other images ott.

I think you need to dwell more about the layout and CSS before you start
putting content in… you could get frustrated when you go any further with this.
