Website Redesign: Who Gets Credit?

Howdy, I’ve recently taken in the web design regarding my brother’s website. I’ve fixed a lot of of errors in the website’s HTML. I’ve also revamped the text content in the website and added several images. So, what I want to know is: who should get credit at the bottom of the website They are no longer going to be hosting your website or making any changes to the item, but they were the techniques who designed coursesmart originally, so I believe they should even now get credit. It is possible to standard procedure because of this situation Regarded as a put something such as: " Web Design by old web designer. Modified by my name" Many thanks Developed and operated because of the Whatever Brothers Direction, the copyright/IP belongs for a brother. So I would put 2011 (your brother). So far as who gets design credit on the webpage Well, no you should. Designer hyperlinks tend to be tacky. If you didn’t receive cash and helped ones brother out, acceptable, take some credit on the webpage… but even then, it’s still a little tacky and which is usually not the truth. Very noobish question about text…

Hi there everyone. Sorry to get yet another noob asking just another noob question, but this seems as if a great community forum. Once i place a piece of text inside a table, I can set the margins etc inside the CSS, but why does the text immediately just sit during the table Regardless of I do I tough to find any way for it to default into the top of the table Aside from ‘bumping’ it up with the addition of in & nbsp’s Help much appriciated! Heya Kaiserman, In case you are laying out your design try a div instead of an table and make use of css. If you should use a dining room table use valign to put it to this top < stand width=" 100%" border=" 0" cellspacing=" 0" cellpadding=" 0" > < tr> < td valign=" top" > & nbsp; < /td> < /tr> < /table> Kind regards and the cellpadding=" 0" is where you’ll be able to set the margins when they are equal (eg. 5px perimeter all around). If you would like unique margins, you can apply this < stand width=" 100%" border=" 0" cellspacing=" 0" fashion = " margin-top: 5px; margin-left: … Continue reading

Criticize my Layout/Web Page!

Hello everyone! Just allowing some background info. first. That is my first page to ever design and style using Photoshop. I’ve been majoring within graphic design for about per annum now and I took an internet design class that had related to only using codes instead of with Photoshop. I recently got employment helping this firm re-design their site. The previous developer quit and the actual boss offered me personally this awesome possibility – I told him I didn’t have very much web designing knowledge. So for a tad bit more then a week I have been working presently there, creating this style and design: I recognize the images used may not be that great within quality. That is because I had been just using what the previous web designer was using the services of and I get way better pics in the future. I also applied 2 different sans serif fonts. Oh yeah, the " Find us in action" box might be an embedded myspace video. My organization is looking for a few criticism/advice/suggestions, what people like/don’t like or anything else. They layout will be down the middle of the page. Bless you for reading! I like like the … Continue reading

Is the customer always right?

Together with my experience I’d initially say yes and attempt to push the shopper towards your design/layout. However Concerning recently been told that we am wrong as well as the customer is in no way right. Being a developer if the customer wants an internet site . that is definately not visualy appealing you shouldn’t accept their view becouse it could actually discredit you layout skills So will be customer always appropriate, should you design for their wants or should you design a web page that looks greater then what they surggest Assuming you aren’t hired by a web design/developing firm, as well as an overloaded designer/developer, then the consumer probably doesn’t understand anything about building a website. They do not know what works plus what doesn’t. For that reason they’ll imagine bizarre fantasy sites that contain flashing banners, horizontally scrolling content boxes, and pop-ups all over the place. They don’t know that this is bad form for your website. The designer should try their to hint along at the client that their idea of a design isn’t superior, and the template you have in mind would be superior. However, they’re paying you for " dream" web site, so if … Continue reading

Find out how to set up yuor web blog so that visitors be capable of download (or print) recorded content Thanks beforehand! If you result in a link to a document (such like a. doc) the visitor are going to be prompted to download it once they click the website link. If you mean at a database, then I have no idea of as I’ve for no reason tried/looked into this. Alternatively you may upload the file to somewhat of a site like MediaFire and connect to the download page on your site. What exactly RiDunne said is definitely exactly right. But you can also find programatic ways for making files downloadable which have the following features: A SINGLE. The true location on the file cannot be determined by the actual downloader. 3. The download file name should not be just as the real archive name. 3 OR MORE. It will power a " Save-as" in all circumstances. (And under no circumstances directly open it). When interested, google content-type get stream language. (Where language is the programming language appealing, for example, ASP. net sale and PHP. ) The simpler option might be a print stylesheet.
