Website Redesign: Who Gets Credit?
Howdy,
I’ve recently taken in the web design regarding my brother’s website.
I’ve fixed a lot of of errors in the website’s HTML. I’ve also revamped the text content in the website and added several images.
So, what I want to know is: who should get credit at the bottom of the website They are no longer going to be hosting your website or making any changes to the item, but they were the techniques who designed coursesmart originally, so I believe they should even now get credit.
It is possible to standard procedure because of this situation
Regarded as a put something such as: " Web Design by old web designer. Modified by my name"
Many thanks
Developed and operated because of the Whatever Brothers
Direction, the copyright/IP belongs for a brother. So I would put 2011 (your brother).
So far as who gets design credit on the webpage Well, no you should. Designer hyperlinks tend to be tacky. If you didn’t receive cash and helped ones brother out, acceptable, take some credit on the webpage… but even then, it’s still a little tacky and which is usually not the truth.

Thank you on your responses.
It’s good to learn that I have more options when compared with I originally concept.
I think I’ll just position the copyright to my brother’s company at the bottom for now.
Many thanks again!
Intelligent call, dude. That’s what the actual professional designers carry out.
If you want to, build a portfolio which has a link to your own bro’s site. That could help build your own rep.
The orginal designer(s) would be your proper people for you to credit unless the actual design (look & feel in the site – not just the content) continues to be changed.
That may be 2 pennies please…
Honestly it could have probably been more helpful to help just link your pet to Google.
Not for any forum spammer. Look wonderful I reported it.
I usually stick " website by" in that footer. If it were an online site that I got over and designed substantial changes to be able to, I would alter it to " run by… " or something like that.
POST do add any " website by" for just two reasons. One, every now and then, I pick up a web job from someone who liked what they saw, and were going to know who would it. Second, and that is the definite ongoing perk, it counts to be a link-back internet, which helps in the search engines.
I always aim to make these back links small and unobtrusive. I have seen web-developers make their link almost as prominent because the website’s company name and that is very very wrong for me.
Notice: I always include a really link in the particular visual mockups the fact that customer approves. Doing this, it is not just a surprise later.
I have run into several owners that didn’t want it. No problem, I did not include it.
One particular interesting story, once I had forgotten to include it in any design mockup. So when it came time for any real site, I decided never to include my url. The next occasion I met with the owner he expected me " but why do your name is not on it Aren’t you like to show off it"
