linking thumbnail image to larger image
I will be new at web development and am creating a problem, I am building a jewelry site abd want to link my thumbnails to the larger image, I don’t aim for to make the seperate page per larger image since you will have alot of these individuals. Could someone remember to tell me the simplest and easiest route to accomplish this Make sure you explain in bare language since We are new I don’t understand alot of web design terms yet. Thanks, mrl51 michaelliebmanmsn. com The simplest think is that will insert a hyperlink round the thumbnail, and link it for the image, as listed below: HTML: < your href=" bigimage. jpg" > < img src=" thumbnailimage. jpg" width=" 100px" height=" 100px" /> < /a> Like that no page should be used for each photo. And to include in justlivyalife’s reply… to help eliminate the random world box around the thumbnail connection, add the: border=" 0" for the img tag. The alt property is for a tool-tip outline. < your href=" bigimage. jpg" > < img src=" thumbnailimage. jpg" width=" 100px" height=" 100px" border=" 0" alt=" this description" > < /a> If your code will be xHTML compatible, make … Continue reading

Jakob Nielsen killed TemplateMonster??!!??!!
I have just visited www. TemplateMonster. com. I was surprised to discover a totally new style and design there. Through the ICQ discussion with a number my friends: too patriotic (pro-American), quickly loading, impact about usability. As for me it appearance nice; more business enterprise and, get much about usability indeed; I’d an impression of which it’s Jakob Nielsen putted towards practice!!! On the other side it is… I need ideas of… More dull Dried out and too business Or it could be it’s just my own nostalgia about older TM (one of my favorite sites around the net). Will it be worth to drop on design for any sake of usability I need ideas of really… But anyway it’s worth investigating! Looks such as 1000 other business sites now. I don’t see the way it’s " American" wanting. That’s definitely certainly not USA blue, along with the USA is never the only RW& B country on this planet. Anyhow, I liked that old look. It was more unique also it gave an idea of how many templates you’d discover there. PS – POST don’t see how the tab style switch has increased usability. When I recall, the old layout … Continue reading

Many thanks Generally E-commerce systems come in PHP/MySQL. Check out Site Scripts’ PHP Service and Hotscripts’ Ecommerce PHP Service. You can however utilize web-based E-commerce packages, or use ASP/MS SQL. just how secure would any self-written e-comm website be (PHP/MySQL) The hard component to developing an e-commerce web site actually has very little to do with the programming. Most payment running APIs are relatively simple to work with and require a good 25-50 lines associated with code to combine. They exist for a variety of languages, such because ASP, PHP, Perl, CGI, for example. and so with. The actual hard part is coordinating a proper business will develop the e-commerce store around; setting price ranges, selecting a repayment processor, getting … Continue reading

Cheers Different different types of images and what there’re used for HTML, CSS, W3C and so forth. There are many, many more, imagine about what you’d to learn when you started. Read a few web page design magazines (beginners ones) and then you should utilize terms they light up as jargon in the a-z (obviously not plagiarising what these people say about these individuals. ) accessiblity really, mention all the particular languages commen or even not, but abandon java, no one particular knows what thats pertaining to anyway. hehe jk The various programming languages would have been a good one. " Flash". " E-Commerce". Anything related to SEO. " Spam/UCE". " IP Address". Anything related to a domain label (TLD/SLD/etc. ) " Geocities". I’ll even provide the meaning for you: " Complete … Continue reading

Article for people starting out.
I just now wanted to post this article for site designers staring out, or considering starting out. Write-up Great article, Dan! All the revolutionary people to web page design should read this. Yeah of your brilliant article. The whole site is in all reality really good to stay informed with all the online goings on. I don’t even think I have run into it before. Great one Dan. So good, and it brings a lot of the important facts along with details. Good website link! I can personally vouch for the point made related to formal education. Once i got out of collage I used to be as preparied to create websites as everyone who read any book on basic html and knew some thing or two with regards to dreamweaver(BTW the books can have cost about 31 bucks, but I spent 31, 000+ upon tuition). Most everything I realize about creating websites I’d to learn outside the classroom. On the other hand, I did learn a whole lot about color way of thinking, information design, undertaking management, teamwork, ect.. And that is where the value of formal training came in. It is hard to learn that almost thing outside … Continue reading

How can MY PARTNER AND I make these One of many easist ways would be to make a horizontal strip with smooth top and bottom edges then repeat it right down the article. The following value shows how… … < head> < type type=" text/css" > html document, body foundation: url(‘images/bg. gif’) repeat-y; < /style> < /head>… The particular image (bg. gif) would simply be a small long rectangle aproximently somewhere between 1024-1600 pixels broad and something tiny like 25 pixels excessive with two lashes running verticaly down the middle representing the perimeter shadows. The stripes could well be spaced roughly 350 pixels outwards with the centre… In the items you’ve listed they … Continue reading

Designing with web standards: The numbers
Played across this content today, very useful basically don’t say thus myself. For those wondering the place that the real data regarding developing in online standards is, here you. A helpful personal account, but is not really conclusive the best way or the different. There are several projects listed presently there, two of which seems to be similar but the 3rd a step backward. At the very least that’s how POST read it.
