Hi
I want to dabble even more in Web Development. I would love to potentially creat 3/4 sites.
Are usually best and cheapest way I can do this
Possibly there is anyone out there offering an offer on hosting 3/4 sites If so please reply and also PM me with details (i. electronic. secured server).
With thanks
Do you mean 3/4 TLD (top-level domains) Or maybe can it often be done via subdomains Via subdomains, you are capable of doing it on nearly all hosts. TLDs are only slightly harder, and might value a VPS whose configuration you’ll be able to play with.
Ummm i basically prefer to creat 3 – 4 sites one for each person… so long while i eventually established a domain name that belongs to them and fwd that will it, im not really fussed how it’s done…
Is TLD used by basically using every sub domain being a main domain
you should explain more- many thanks
Well, a TLD is like google. com. A subdomain is like maps. google. com. In case you could set up subdomains, then it really is easy. But it appears you can’t.
Usually there are some hosts (like Site5) that include what they telephone reseller hosting programs, which basically means you have the plan after which it can sell this hosting to others from there. Alternatively, you will pay for a VPS (virtual private server) and then point several domains towards same IP address and use Apache that will send the requests to different directories determined by what host there’re requesting pages to get. Finally, you could probably get regular contributed hosting and do the same trick if the business supports it. In actual fact, I just checked my Site5 control panel and so they support that. You place up a domain pointer’ to one of your subdirectories and also you’re set.
I’m confused. I thought subdomains pointed on the same site beneath one account.
former mate. www. mystore. com AND www. mystorefront. com (and there is more) would all point towards the same site.
And subsites point to different sites within one folder.
I’ve an account which lets me keep multiple sites around my main folder, and they all have regular addresses, but they’re directed through my main domain.
Or does someone not understand that question
Those aren’t real links, apologies bout that
It depends on how your own host sets that up. You can in truth make domain ideas point to different directories to the same site. You possibly can make subdomains do the same. You can generate subdomains point for you to entirely different directories elsewhere to the filesystem. All of this is controlled by way of Apache configurations (or whatever webserver is due to use).
WE see…….
