Relating to recently volunteered to be the webmaster of any site that my personal non-profit group took over. The orignal creator died along with the whitewater rafting community want to see his web page continue. The problem is I undoubtedly are a fireman not the computer genius! I have been searching the online today looking for sites that i might manage to find help. You guys could be seen as you know one thing so maybe you may help! First I would really prefer to ask where by I should commence my education What books ought to be a get to study Our site is ready to go and my job could be to keep it up-to-date. We hired an experienced guitarist to design it but he is too busy to maintain it even though we wanted to pay him!
I simply bought a different laptop and begin using Dreamweaver. What other programs must need I have got MS Pro, I added Corel paintshop ProX and additional programs. I may use all the help I can get, thanks.

Incredible… that’s alot to begin with
Let’s get started with a " Welcome"
It is possible to start your education and learning with html lessons and css lessons. You should also keep your W3. org web page handy. It can be gibberish now yet they’re the peeps behind all these items.
Dreamweaver is a great as any starting point. Just be carefull with all the code " it" puts in should you be not using the " code" view. As for graphical software package, I would go with either Photoshop and also Fireworks. Again, search on google for tutorials with these software… theres Lots more them.
And quite a few important of many, search this discussion board and post in buying it! That’s what this forum is perfect for. You need guide, people are here for the.

Good day & welcome.
You’ve an advantage because the site is already built. After an instant look at the code, it appears like all the layout elements are already established (albeit altogether in tables) using a clearly marked " Editable" place.
<! --this is the format of some sort of note in HTML. It's <! -- to start out and --> to separate. It is visible while in the source code, but in no way appears on the page-->
Should you look at the HTML, you might find this used in order to label different spots. Also, it looks as if almost all of the site that is already up has content that should not changes. Should you wanted to say, add some holds, you could open up the links web pages and change the data insides of the idea. Adding another date to the newsletter archives is usually a matter of cutting & pasting.
I think some HTML may be all you have to to keep the positioning updated. If you intend to do a redesign or something, this is a different story. My advise could be to really become acquainted with html before scuba dving into Dreamweaver. DW at times creates extra unique codes, and things will not actually look exactly like they do around the screen. As far when graphic production is worried, these programs are very expensive and use a huge learning necessities, so you really want to guarantee that’s something you need before you spend.
Thanks, I spent a bit reading. I have quite a distance to go!

So We can make text modifications without DW (I started reading the HTML PAGE tutorials. ) That will be helpfull since we ought to post updates regularly. I do need to make a page for each of our annual events but I might possibly get our designer to do that.
Thank you,
HM
I think precisely what he meant was is that you should " know" a bit of html before implementing DW to code it. Since DW does add unwanted code when you find yourself NOT using that " code" view.
you might want to check out macromedia contribute..

If you may go with Dreamweaver, it comes with an FTP built directly into it. Same pertaining to GoLive.
