So.. they enter their particular email address and you email the users who may have entered their e-mail address You need a server side language (if you intend to do it automatically). Regardless you would like a server side treatment for save the address. Do you know ASP Or PHP And also does your particular allow databases … Uh, am I in about my head Sure, all I want is good for people kid enter their electronic mail address and me be capable to send group messages to them along with ongoing news. Preferably, that process are going to be as streamlined as they can but now I suppose my philosophy is the fact " beggers can not be choosers"… so I’ll negotiate with any way that can make this idea work. Help! Nowhere hidden to put private config file!

On the new website, all I’ve is a actual directory on my personal FTP. I do not have any directories underneath it helping put config files, we don’t want anybody to determine. The people along at the host said in order to password protect the directory the config file is currently in (a subdir in the root) with htaccess, but merely do this then the PHP include()s won’t be able to access it. Possibly there is any other way to make this file private on the outside world With thanks! You could take a step like this: PHP: if  (  $_SERVER’PHP_SELF’  ==  ‘/protectedFolder/protectedFile. php’  )        die(  ‘Private  record,   buddy.   Step  back again. ‘  ); I believe should work. Naturally, you change /protected… on the appropriate folder/file, relative on the *server root*. Ah I see, so should the actual file inside the browser is the private one, it’s going to display the meaning, but if it is a different page as well as private file is just being included, it won’t Because it isn’t really the current page I think I getcha. With thanks, buddy WE wouldn’t even show a message. Just forward them onto for … Continue reading

two layers of GIFs?

I’m innovative to this, and am designing an online site for the business. I’m utilizing tables, and I would like to put your header like you would have on business letterhead with the top of the actual page – but I’d like a brushed metal texture underneath them, stretching all began seeing across the web site. I have a GIF file with the texture, and one with the text of that letterhead (with your transparent background); can i tie the text into the left side of the screen and let the texture that will " stretch" under it to fill the width (width=" 100%) Is there a healthier way of doing this kind of, relatively simply I have been previously looking, but haven’t found how to superimpose one layer over another and allow that you resize independently of the other. I’m a new metal fabricator, and not really interested in becoming a web site designer, other than with this one project. Pardon my ignorance belonging to the proper terminology, however as I mentioned, I’m new for this and would appreciate whatever assist you can offer. bless you, Andrew < td style=" background-image: url(‘texture. gif’); thickness: 100%; " > < img … Continue reading

Have basic design.. Need Advice

Please click on over and look in the site layout: http: //www. bowdoinhamsecondbaptist. org/Youthgroup/main. htm I have used CSS to create the layout (well i acquired it from an additional site) and i want to know how to help make the basic frame standard so i need not recreate every internet page, just change the content in the center section. I would like to keep the very best, the 2 side navs and also the very last container standard, but contain the center easily adjustable. Is this doable You could use SSI (Server aspect includes) to re-use portions of code which might be repeated on a lot of pages. Have a glance at this tutorial http: //www. splodgy. com/modules/dokuwiki/doku. phpid=ssi_-_server_side_include It is just a site based about Blue Robot! His / her stuff is good. Make sure to change more in the colors, though–you don’t want him to feel much like the whole world can be copying his site, and you will not want people like me to learn that it was a little quick grab-and-go occupation. Device Side Includes, or maybe PHP includes, are ideal. They’re very easy to perform, too. Usually it is just a single line of … Continue reading

copyright laws

Hi there all I’d like to see some info about copyright law for the website I ‘m doing. The website will be a directory record of extreme physical activities. I wish to have cartoon pics connected with extreme sports on various pages. I need to know if copyright applies to images that were created using genuine, copyrighted pics while referances. Spending 1000s of rands on share photos just is not a viable option personally right now. Thanx! Wayne Depends on the country, but if it is a general caricature of the bmx’er doing an inverted superman, I’d guess you can be safe as long as there’s nothing identifiable from the pic. There isn’t any easy answer to the present. After you say " making use of… as references" don’t you mean you’re visiting re-draw them by hand, or do you mean you’ll use some kind of computer tool in order to cartoonise them Should the former then I’d imagine you’re moderately okay, because exactly what you’re doing is actually creating something different; albeit based upon somebody else’s graphic. Just make sure it’s not 100% identical and it becomes difficult to prove. If the latter then I do believe you’re in … Continue reading

Source for Photo Content

Everyone know where I can license photos for your reasonable rate I’m trying to find headshots of celebrities… similar to what IMDB has per person. Seems many people get theirs via " Wire Image" but I’ve yet to receive pricing info from them and I’m wondering what else is offered. Are screen-captures through movies legally allowed to be shown if it’s a single frame of your movie Bless you, uptown.
