It really will depend on your website.
When you’ve got a site which displays dynamic content (such to be a blog, articles, etc),
content is already stored in any database. That content is stored in various
directories as their own language. Cookies how the user has picked out will determine
which in turn language to show… the scripts draw that content through the appropriate
directory.

I would go for a " template" type site the place that the base look is fixed, plus the
subject material is pulled via various directories. Users select their language choice and that
decision is saved being a cookie so they see a similar language when they come back later.

It’s all about using PHP in order to " include" text files through the correct directory.
Translation then happens with uploading many text files, not websites.

As mlseim claims, you should definitely either utilize a database or comprises of to load content material, in order to lessen your development attempt.

You should utilize cookies and/or program cookies to save the language the person selects and insert the content from there.

Thanks for the reply guys…

Are PHP includes google search friendly

Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial on how you can use cookies

Cheers
Neil

PHP includes are indeed search-engine welcoming, as they’re preprocessed about the server before that page is sent to the client (browser / spider).

Here’s some info on how you can use cookies throughout PHP

It’s also possible to use the $_SESSION thing to store program cookies:
