Ok so since I see a lot of people worshipping it I though We’d investigate. While having a review of the psql I noticed there’s no function to start using a certain database, or as a minimum not simiar to help MySQL anyway, any ideas what it is You specify it within the connection string to be able to phpfunctionpg_connect/phpfunction. For illustration: PHP: $handle  =  pg_connect(“host=localhost  user=somebody  password=password  dbname=database”); I became refering to smoking ‘psql’ to postgred as opposed to through php, might have known it would you that replied Oh. It’s a command-line argument once you begin it. Type typethispsql –help/typethis. Once you’re actually into the psql client, it’s nothing like the MySQL consumer. It’s not truly better nor a whole lot worse, just different. another question just what module dlls must i need to place in php Have no idea of; I only apply PHP on Linux in addition to FreeBSD. I believe it’s just referred to as php_pgsql. dll. yea ive taken away the semi colon from in front of the extension=php_pgsql. dll and POST read here and it also says I really need to run the initdb order, I have accomplished this and got this particular … Continue reading →

Posted on September 15, 2012 by admin658 views

Can certainly anyone give me some links in order to known validators It would be good if these types of forums had a new sticky somewhere using links to verify our websites in order that they meet good standards Thanks a lot! The w3c has many of the main validators – http: //validator. w3. org/ to get HTML and http: //jigsaw. w3. org/css-validator/ to get CSS. There’s also a validator with regard to WCAG (Web Content material Accessibility Guidelines) that’s the following (link too long). But this town, for compliance in order to accessibility which is a very good thing, is reasonably hard to go away. I know theres some sort of DDA validator identified as Bobby and I believe W3c created the item, however I can’t find it online or the w3c internet site. Have you found it http: //webxact. watchfire. com/ You may get some pretty respectable ones for firefox – head over to add on webpages for Firefox plus type validator inside search box, there’s two analysts I think. Most such validators still use the official ones AFAIK. The validation method is too complex to try and do via JS, which can be what FF employs for … Continue reading →

At present Relating to two line breaks involving each link inside code for the particular site, because I don’t know how to code it within css (if you know how, please tell me, that will be great). Could someone explain to me what I want to add or remove to fix this problem And here is the code WE used: #links boundary: 4px outset rgb(196, 195, 221); size: 110px; height: 375px; background-image: url(linkbg. jpg); drift: right; text-align: facility; #links place: absolute; top rated: 197px; still left: 15px; #links a colour: green; font-family: arial; foam: 0px; text-decoration: it’s unlikely that any; #links any: link text-decoration: it’s unlikely that … Continue reading →

Adobe needs competition

Posted on September 15, 2012 by admin724 views

Using Adobe acquiring Macromedia there doesn’t are many choices for WYSIWYG editors sometime soon. Whatever Adobe decides to do with GoLive or Dreamweaver will be anybody’s guest, and also the last thing us web developers needs is to acquire Adobe monopolizing the market. Is there everyone who thinks in which Adobe has any competition in the foreseeable future. I see very little major competition ever really creating a dent in Adobe. Lure in members small time html code editors around nevertheless I doubt anything around the scale of Dreamweaver or GoLive. I don’t believe they are monopolizing the market however. Just because there is no one who you’d consider to possibly be competition to Adobe will not mean there aren’t any good products all over for html modifying. There are some really cool apps around, just not made by companies that would certainly worry Adobe. How ’bout Apple company they make wonderful applications like Final Cut Pro and also Shake with equipment like these the idea wouldn’t strike us as strange should they decide to enter the web arena. You see the main reason I’m saying the reason is , I don’t Adobe to become lulled into your false sense … Continue reading →
