Custom Text Boxes

In several sites, I’ve noticed colorful text containers, or text fields with text and also pictures underneath the area where you sort, and it doesn’t disappear when you type. How does one create these " custom-made word areas" Either by applying CSS properties such as background-color or by using a background image with the box (also inside CSS). See Legends of Type Thanks.

Need help identifying an IE problem

Hey all… I’m new these but I’m getting yourself into doing a reasonable amount of web designing so Lets hope to hang out here considerably and both know and help where We can. At least, I was planning someone could support me solve a dilemma with this internet site. As well as looks as it is intended in Firefox which has no problem. However, with IE, a thin whitened line appears above your property picture. This is true of IE6 and IE7. But in IE6 another highlight is a while range that appears below the logo bar and search listings area that actually creates a separate in my backdrop image. This lower white line doesn’t appear in IE7 with the exception of one page of the site. Weird, eh The lower whitened line that is found in IE6 and around the one page associated with IE7, is actually in some way affecting the background image of the main container. The actual background image have to repeat without destroys. Information link to my css code, too. If anyone may offer any suggestions, I’d be most appreciative as Concerning been pulling my own hair out attempting to troubleshoot this a single. Here’s … Continue reading

Question…

How to have a club with 100% to the very top connected with my page continually visible, even if your user scrolls affordable. How could I try this Hi Metromax, Try setting up a div using all these style settings #banner margin: 0; job: fixed; best: 0px; thickness: 100%; Throw the screaming graphic or flash file in a very div with div name as " banner" and always be good to visit. Brian Web design Fort Myers Superb, thanks Aurora Be aware that position: set doesn’t work/works strangely in IE. There actually are fixes floating about (particularly in Dean Edwards’ IE7 script, I believe), but i can agree that it’ll necessitate additional effort. Stu Nicholls did a great piece on this specific here http: //www. cssplay. co. uk/layouts/fixed. html Sean Until you are using any background image, in which case you can set this background to minicodebackground-attachment: fixed/minicode Thanks a ton for all our support and excitement people. It is quite much appreciated.

Is it possible to control the order in which items on my page load?

Concept basically says all of it. I need the background upon my site for you to load first. Is this possible The following is a link: Chrysalismusic. net/tour. html document You missed a in your URI, try Chrysalismusic. net/tour. html document Well you would need to preload the graphic. Use CSS as well as JavaScript. http: //www. ilovejackdaniels. com/css/preloading-images-with-css/ You are using < table> verts… so Together with IE, nothing is displayed until that < table> can be loaded. So that you could break down things into small tables. That would gain some control with the loading. Obviously, CSS would be the right way for the site layout. This background image is definitely huge… so almost no to do there except break it suitable few images assemble. The opaque thing one does on that background image can be accomplished with CSS… which makes it unnecessary to vary that background photograph.

Creating a dynamic image?

What I’d like to do is definitely w/ some snazzy value (php / javascript / CSS / mysql), is always to create a background for the forum avatar. Now because avatars will come in different sizing’s, the background should expand to the larger ones. I know sometimes it is done w/ a few CSS, but Now i’m no expert From the example below (click the actual pic, it’ll mature, easier to see), consider the blue square for the red background (the left half) as a static image, while using right half as being a full red background, with the avatar above it (CSS magic! ). At this point, in the very first one, the avatar is from the standard parameters (say 1×1 to 50×50 pixels within size), so some computer code w/ a 54×54 pixel red-colored square image would work with some CSS placing to center your avatar’s upper eventually left corner to A FEW, 3 on that background image would work properly. Note that it is assuming with any 50×50 avatar, it’ll give you a 2 pixel border about the avatar, hence the particular 3, 3 placement ANYWAY, here we reach the real problem. In the next image, you’ll … Continue reading

Speed up

I created my web site in photoshop and also basically sliced them up and employed save as html document and images. Then changed this code slightly and achieved it into php. Our question is, after i go onto this website, it takes quite some time to loads this images – will there be a way We can speed up the actual process http: //www. racemidz. com – therefore you understand enjoy Hi Wizza You ought to try wrapping the actual background image in css actually I would attempt using css for you to style the tables rather then just placing jpg images from the tables. I have high speed broadband and its slow-moving to load try to imaging somone exactly who still has dial way up. Slice then place as background image within css if you ever dont know css then We’d find somone who seem to does. Hope that helps Thanks a ton for your result, I think I am going to just have to find someone who can assist me with css in that case. I mean, i’m a quick learner so when someone shows me how its done I will possibly pick it up. Thanks a ton … Continue reading

Issues with different screen resolutions

Howdy guys, A couple of things…. ONE PARTICULAR. Just been focusing on this – http: //www. bass-reflex. net/ttepsnoad/ – and on on the list of school computers it’s apparently listed all askew with IE6. The photostrip to the right is overlapping the actual blue footer and also obscuring the contact details inside the footer. Laptop has it’s display screen resolution set in order to 1280 x 1024 px. I’ve tried replicating the item on other computers with the same screen res but can’t have it to happen. Although We have got IE7 fitted everywhere. … in addition to… A COUPLE OF. When the internet site is viewed throughout different screen file sizes, different browsers or perhaps without certain toolbars, for example, there is your white ‘gap’ at the end due to the background I’m utilizing… My question here is would there be any route to make everything under the footer display because same light random world background colour I suppose I could just use a typical background colour as opposed to the background image but I’m keen on the shadow result it allows me to set-up. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thankyou so much in advance!!: exhausted: I identified … Continue reading

image’s name is on the image

Hi, I’m designing an affiliate site using Photoshop along with SiteGrinder. It’s for by myself company. I figure by working this way, I will get the venture done, and know from what SG builds. Anyway, I just added in an image for the live site, fine-tuned it’s position, and so on., but the picture’s brand, daves-limo, is in tiny black print around the picture. Not popping-up, simply there. How did I do that, and how must i change it As well, I was reading the directory " don’ts" ahead of I posted. My own site’s background is definitely black. If WHEN I shouldn’t use bright text on ebony, what would everyone suggest Uniform bright text boxes to hold black text I will try it and see what it seems like. Gives thanks. How about implementing PHP GD to actually put text directly for the photo… as section of the image by itself (like a watermark) Present us a link to your site, together with the photo it is in place and I’ll explain to you an example. I’m sorry. I think WE phrased my question wrong. I’m new to the forum and also new to doing any website design. The … Continue reading
